"You're not going to do any good like that." I overheard July correcting Kirishima. "If you want to be unbreakable, your stance has a lot of work to do. Deeper." I watched the duo, smiling to myself. July shoved his foot between Kirishima's legs, kicking at his left foot, requiring Kirishima to widen his stance. "I want ass to grass. A solid stance is everything in a fight."
I then turned to Bakugo, who had asked for assistance in timing attacks. "Alright," I began, seeing that Bakugo was fully paying attention to me. "In order to begin timing attacks, you first need to know how to tell time."
"I know how to tell time already. I'm not five." Bakugo scoffed. "Come on, Sensei Clock-freak. Let's get to the good stuff."
He was a problem child, wasn't he? I bit back a retort and attempted to focus on the lesson at hand. He was a targeted student and had been through a lot. I couldn't expect fluffy kindness from someone who had been traumatized at such a young age. It was clear he was still going through some inner turmoil. He reminded me a lot of July.
I chose to ignore the snarky comments completely. "Close your eyes and let me know when you think 10 seconds have passed."
"WHAT?"
"You heard me. I'll use the stopwatch on my phone so you know I'm being honest." I said, pulling out my cell phone and pulling up the stopwatch app. "Ready?" I glanced up at Bakugo, who reluctantly closed his eyes. "And.... Go."
I tapped the button on the phone, effectively starting the timer.
"Stop." I pressed stop on the timer, turning the phone to show Bakugo. 20 seconds had passed. "WHAT?! NO WAY. GIVE ME THE PHONE. IT HAS TO BE RIGGED. I'D LIKE TO SEE YOU TRY YOU POSER."
Sighing, I handed the phone over to him. "Let's get this over with."
A vein in Bakguo's forehead throbbed, his red eyes narrow slits. "Fine, you extra." He growled. "Close your damn eyes." I closed my eyes. "Go."
Counting out 10 seconds in my head, I verbalized when Bakugo should stop the timer. He glanced at the phone - both in disbelief, and anger. His eyebrow twitched as he shoved the phone back into my possession. "Fine." He rolled his shoulders back. "Teach me how to tell time like you can."

A knock sounded at my door. I peeled myself from my desk chair, shutting the file on Izuku Midoriya. I made my way to the door and looked through the peephole, revealing a tired looking July. I opened the door. "What's -" I was cut off by July charging through the threshold. "...up? Come on in." I added sarcastically as I shut the door.
"We have to take another stupid fucking course in order to get our teaching licenses here." July complained as he threw himself dramatically on my couch.
Weird. I had assumed that everything would've translated over just fine. We are the most elite heroes- and therefore teachers - that the United States has to offer. What could we possibly need? "What course?"
"Hero Ethics."
"Why does that not surprise me?" I sighed, running a hand through my hair.
"Because Japan is full of goody-two-shoes heroes." July scoffed. "Our supplemental course will happen on the same day as the provisional license exams for the students." July used air quotes around the word 'supplemental', mocking it even further with an eye roll.
"Well, it's not ideal... but it's not terrible." I offered as I sat back down at my desk.
"Not terrible?!' July whined. "You know how I am with written tests and this course requires one!"
