You Fight Good
After Helm's Deep, Legolas and Gimli share a moment. Aragorn is absolutely done with this idiocy.
Gimli takes hold of Legolas' hand and clears his throat. "My love, your eyes are like sapphires. When you move it is as though you are the wind brought to life. You are the most beautiful thing I have ever laid eyes on." He kisses the hand he holds in his grasp, eyeing the Elf the entire time.
Legolas smiles and blushes slightly. "Thank you," he says shyly. "You, um...you fight good."
Hovering outside the room, Aragorn slaps his forehead.
"I give up," he mutters. "Why did Gimli pick the one Elf who couldn't be poetic if his very soul depended on it?"
