- chapter 3 -

*Lando*

I continued to stroke Sophia's hair as she drifted off to sleep with her head resting on my shoulder. I don't know who or what had upset her this much but whatever it was they need to watch out because now they have me hunting them down. I and Sophia had been close ever since we met we seem to share the same kind of energy which is what I love about her.

I lifted her onto her bed, tucking her into her duvet so she didn't get too cold the night. I also pulled up the sleeves of her dress in case she got too hot. That's when I saw them. The scars and bruises which had been marked on her beautiful body, I could feel my blood boiling with anger so I rushed out of her bedroom to go get her brothers.

"Charles something has happened to Sophia!" I said trying to get his attention while he was partying.

"What? what do you mean something happened to Sophia?" he said his knuckles clenched with anger

"I walked in on her crying on her bedroom floor and she fell asleep on my shoulder so I lifted her onto her bed and rolled up her sleeves and," I said rushing out my words in panic

"And what?" Charles yelled as he slowly turned red

"there were scars all over her arms charles..." I whispered so no one around us could hear

"go get Arthur!" he said hurrying off to Sophia's bedroom.

I went and explained everything to Arthur about what had happened and his reaction was worse than Charles's. He let out a yell and punched the wall before storming off to find Charles and his sister. I knew Sophia was going to hate me for telling them but I only did it to protect her and I know how much she means to her brothers.I walked into her room once again to find Arthur sitting alongside her on the bed and Charles on the phone to someone who I was assuming was their parents.I watched her eyes flutter open as she sat up realising everyone was watching her sleep.
