"Sterneedle, I thank you for allowing us to personally use your coliseum for just the two of us"

"You're welcome Compale! But why didn't you two just use your personal arenas for this?"

"It'll get messy. We need a bigger place to do a sparring match in"

"Right. I guess that's fine, but clean up afterwards! I don't want flames and ice all around here, it's not easy to clean this place up by myself"

"Fair enough, are you going to stay and watch?"

"I would, but I have things to do. I will be somewhere else for that time"

"And you're not going to help us with cleaning this up?"

"Unfortunately not. But if Verfection comes here, make him help. Tell him it's because I said so"

"Oh okay, I guess that isn't a bad thing"

"I'll be going, don't break anything!"

Compale nodded and watched as Sterneedle exit the coliseum, leaving him and Ixol alone.

"So, here we are. We have the coliseum for ourselves, but what's the point of this fight?"

"To settle our little thing from December."

"That? Now wasn't that just me making it equal. You burn those gifts in September, so I freeze your paradise in December, it's only a fair counter"

"I burned some gifts! And you froze the entire distortion paradise for the whole month of December! Tell me, how is that f a i r ?"

"Okay. It was a little unfair but you still burnt those gifts"

"I did. But you can't deny you've done worser"

"Let's just fight now oka-"

Compale ducked down as Ixol slashed his weapon at him, he moves away from Ixol, surprised.

"When did you learn how to wield a scythe? I thought you didn't have weapons for attacks?"

"The other points have their own kinds of weapons, I didn't really have one— someone suggested I try to manifest one since I probably have one, but didn't knew how to summon it. And then this showed up! Pretty cool right?"

"Certainly looks cool for a farming tool of some sort"

"Hmph, it's a weapon. It doubles as one at least, don't call it a farming weapon."

"Right, sorry— not." Compale threw icicles at Ixol, to which he deflected with the blade of his scythe.

"Hey that's not fair!"

"It's as fair as it is, you try to slash at me, then I'll surprise attack you right back"

Ixol didn't say anything and started sprinting at Compale, slashing the scythe at his direction. He dodges every slash and summons snow and throws it at Ixol's face, causing him to be caught off guard and be stunned for a moment. Compale used that moment to send icicles at him, hitting him directly and falling onto his back.

"Ow! That's unfair!"

"Don't focus all on your scythe, you need a balance of it and your magic attacks, perhaps merge the two for something powerful."

"Don't tell me stuff like I don't know how to fight!"

"I'm just giving you some tips, so you're able to counter against me."

"Are you saying I'm not that strong?!"

"I'm just saying that-" a fireball hits Compale at the face, Ixol shifted in his true form, eyes blazing with anger. He quickly recovered from the attack and a shield made of ice manifested in his hand, ready to block the incoming attacks. The two fought on for a while, with occasional attacks landing on each other, Ixol seemed to progressively get more angrier and faster, yet Compale remained at a distance in which he can dodge the attacks.

"Stop backing away!"

"No thanks, I prefer staying at a distance"

Ixol angrily threw another fireball at him, he dodges it but it hits someone at the distance.

"AH-"

"oops? Wait— Verfection?"

"I was told the coliseum was being occupied but what I wasn't expecting is to get a fireball at my face!"

"I'm so sorry about that Verfection"

Ixol calmed down from the burning rage he felt while fighting.

"I guess this fight is a draw"

"Good, because you two caused quite a mess! It's a mess of fire and ice out here"

They look around the coliseum grounds, flames and ice cover it, some melted leaving puddles of water.

"I didn't realize how much mess was made from all that"

"Come on, let's clean it up. Knowing Sterneedle, they'd want me to clean up with you guys"

The two nodded and Compale went to set out the flames while Verfection and Ixol got rid of the ice and dried up any water puddles. He approached Compale and gazed at him for a moment.

"Ixol?"

"Just... Please don't do that again, my fishes aren't used to the cold and any living plant in the world dies from the cold"

"Then promise me you won't burn my stuff again, mind you there's a place in this world that celebrates Christmas as early as September. Besides, it's not harming anyone."

"Fine. Though we should do a rematch some other time! Winner let's the other choose what they want to do with them"

"Hm. Okay, sounds good. Just how long is 'other time'?"

"Anything but some time after this fight, maybe at the end of the year?"

"Sure! Sounds like a final boss fight if I have to be honest"

Ixol snorted. "Yeah, you're like the final boss of the year, the Christmas spirit" they both laughed as Verfection walked off towards somewhere, leaving the two alone.

"You wanna just go and return to sky emporium or stay and watch the lights lit up when the sun sets soon?"

"The latter sounds good, might as well stay here for a while. It's uneventful back home"

"Don't you usually hang out with Ulipse?"

"Not this time, she's in a bad mood. So I have to steer clear if I don't want to be crushed ice"

"I wish you'd be crushed ice"

"Please don't"

"Yeah of course, you might go freezing my world again of I do"

"Good. You know what not to do"

Ixol nodded as the lights turn on, noticing the sun setting due to the hues of orange and yellow fading to a blue and black of the dark night sky.

"Oh hey, it's open"

"Shard was right, it's really cool here at night"

"Considering his love for the coliseum, I'm not surpris-" Ixol taps Compale's symbol, catching him off guard.

"Wha-"

"Tag you're it!" Ixol sprinted away from Compale, he sighed and chased after Ixol, the two had fun with their game of tag. Sterneedle watched from afar in the darkness, symbol flickering in amusement as they ran around.
