Focus went out of the window + did not know where this could go and how it ends so apologies for that- consider this also as a winter (kinda?) themed oneshot for this year's end (not Christmas, just, winter)
(note from when I publish this oneshot: I'M SORRY THIS TOOK SO LONG :SOBS: and it's literally 2024 now when I finished writing this-)

They take a step out of their world, through the entrance of theirs themed after a birdhouse. The emporium felt cold, it seemed empty, as if others prefer the warmth of their own worlds in the time being. Ploque quietly made their way to the next room, adjusting their green scarf as they walked. They soon reach the entrance of Mad Dragon Festival, a little smile forming on their face as they take a step forward, to be greeted by a rather quiet town.
"Huh...?" Ploque would gaze around, the dragons settled above rooftops or down below on the ground, but Arrolin was out of sight.
A dragon would gaze over to the world's entrance, taking note of Ploque's presence. They quietly got up from the ground, levitating slightly as they moved towards Ploque.
"Hm?" Ploque reached out their hand to pat the dragon on their head, "Do you know where Arrolin is?"
The dragon would nod, their gaze shifting to look up at the rooftops.
"Oh. I see, could you take me up there?" They would nod again, letting Ploque hop onto its back, letting them hold on before hopping onto the rooftop like a cat. This would catch Arrolin's attention, turning their head to see their friend.
"Hello! What brings you here, Ploque?"
"I just want to spend time with you, that's it."
"That's just it?"
"It doesn't always have to be a special occasion to be here with you."
"Fair enough, what do you want to do today then?"
"And that's where I stopped thinking about when I was headed here-"
Arrolin's symbol flickered at Ploque's answer, sighing softly.
"Then," they raise their finger, pointing aimlessly at the air, "we'll just do whatever we could possibly do at a time like this!"
"Huh?"
"I mean I don't know what to do, but maybe an idea will come around if we did random things."
"Fair enough, but what exactly are we going to do?"
"Let's--" A blur of white tackled Arrolin off the rooftop, Ploque was alarmed and quickly headed to the edge of the rooftop, glancing down. Arrolin lay on the ground below, one of his dragons stood on him.
"Are you okay?!"
"I'm okay. They always do this when they're being playful."
"THAT would injure a non point!"
"And they only do this to me, and I'm a point, aren't I?"
"Okay, you're right. But off a rooftop! Arrolin! That can't be a good thing."
"I'm working on making them not do that, and I didn't make much progress though."
"Wait, let me get down-" Ploque carefully lets themselves fall off the rooftop, being caught by the dragon that brought them up there below. "Thank you, you're quite a nice fella."
The dragon gives Ploque a toothy grin and jumps back up the rooftop. They would move over to Arrolin, helping them stand as they shove the white dragon off of them.
"Thanks, but I think we should just settle inside for today. It's quite cold out here honestly."
"Fine by me, do you have anything to drink?"
"I could make hot chocolate!"
"with marshmallows?"
"All I have is the one shaped like stars-"
"I'll take it. Come on let's go, I'm sure you've been out here long enough."
Arrolin nods and the two walk over to Arrolin's place, the fireplace is already lit up in the middle of the area and various wooden carvings are placed on a shelf.
"That's a lot better, it was quite cold outside."
"I'll go make the hot chocolate, you can sit by the fireplace while waiting."
Ploque nods, walking over to the front of the fireplace, sitting down on the carpet. They stare at the flames, lost in thought.
"Hm..."
A mug of hot chocolate would be placed in front of them, the warmth of Arrolin's fur felt as they sat next to them. They slowly reach to grab the mug, taking a little sip.
"Just the way I like it, this is great."
"Anything for you, Ploque." Their symbol flickering in enthusiasm, leaning against the sandy colored point. For a moment, they sat in silence, gazing at the flames of the fireplace.
"... Is it bad that I don't want to do anything today? I said we should just figure out what to do today, but I'm not really in the mood for it."
"It's fine, we can just stay here and look at the fireplace."
"I can't just do that all day."
"Well, does it have to be in silence?"
"Oh. Oh yeah you're right.."
Ploque finishes the rest of their hot chocolate, setting the mug nearby then wrapping their arm on Arrolin's shoulders. Their symbols glow dimly as they sat there in silence, neither of them spoke a word. There was a sound of the door opening, and footsteps nearing them as the dragon from earlier lay near them. Ploque tilts their head at the sight of the dragon.
"... Huh."
"They just want to warm up for a while."
"Makes sense. You want to just do this more often?"
"Maybe sometimes, it's fun to do cool things, but just sitting here with you in silence, relaxing... It's like a nice break from all of that."
"Yeah. What do you want to do tomorrow?"
"Want to go harvest dash peppers-"
"Is that all-"
"And cook something with it, it's going to be really spicy."
"Sure, do you think I can give some to Ixol?"
"Yeah sure, they definitely love spicy food. Can Verfection deal with spice?"
"No."
"Then--"
"Do not give some to them, just, no."
"Okay okay, I won't do it!"
"Good, the last thing I want is to witness Verfection dunking themselves into the waters of that one room in the emporium from the spice."
"Yeah."
"You know. You should head over to my place sometime, it's not so bad if you go to the places with less saws in it."
"That's not exactly reassuring."
"We're points, plus you'd rather be there than Distortion Paradise."
"True, it's too chaotic in there. Though the sand is nice and warm even during the coldest times of the year."
"Then would you want to go to my workshop?"
"I'll think about it. Maybe we can do some more wood carving, or we could build something! Maybe something really cool!--"
"Sure, let's see what we can make."
They look at each other, symbols glowing slightly in amusement.
Silence filled the room once more, and after a while, Arrolin had dozed off. Ploque noticed this and carefully placed them off of them, laying them on the carpet as they headed to another room to get a blanket for them. They put the blanket over Arrolin and sat next to them, looking back at the fireplace, looking content.
