Takes place in TGN, I think--

It's raining again, though I can't fall asleep...

Anshine got up from his bed, his symbol glowing dimly in the darkness. He glances over to the other side of the bed.

He took all my pillows again, but I'll let Strat have it for tonight.

He quietly opened the door, leaving his room, the only source of light was his symbol. Anshine headed towards the door of the estate, opening the door slightly before halting.

"Voixer...?"

The dark blue point didn't respond, continuing to sit by the door, their gaze distant.

"Voixer, get up from there, it's raining out here." He said in a soft quiet voice, offering a hand to Voixer. They hesitate for a moment before taking his hand, slowly getting up from the ground. Anshine brought Voixer by the couch, letting them sit down.

"Would you like to talk about it?"

Voixer glanced at Anshine and shook his head, Anshine's symbol flickering at his response.

"Well, do you want some hot chocolate? I don't know how long you've been outside, or why you're out there... But it's cold outside, Voixer."

They nod, watching Anshine quickly get up and head to the kitchen, leaving them alone in the living room for the moment. Voixer glanced around the estate, the sound of muffled rain was the only thing preventing full silence. Anshine returned to Voixer's side, giving them a mug of hot chocolate, they drink it in silence.

"Is it good? I could've added marshmallows but I've run out..."

"It's good, it's sweet enough for me." They say quietly, taking another sip on their mug.

"Right, I hope that's enough for you."

"... Why are you awake at this time, Anshine?"

"I can't sleep, I have a tendency to be unable to sleep on some nights. I'm not sure why."

"Have you tried to find ways to fall asleep quickly?"

"Doesn't work out, but that's fine, I'm used to it. I get more time to work on things until dawn, or I actually fall asleep."

"I see."

"Why were you outside? Shouldn't you be in your pocket dimension, or Verfection's apartment? Maybe at Cyal—"

"I don't feel like it. I don't want to be in any of those places, Verfection is away for the meantime so I don't want to be in his apartment alone. And I don't like being around Cyalm."

"Why?"

"I feel uncomfortable,  I don't like how he tries to be like a dad to me. Since creation day, he never really thought about us in the pocket dimensions. So why care about me now?"

"Well..." Anshine seemed hesitant, thinking about his next words. "Sometimes, people change as time progresses. For Cyalm, well, you saw how he cared about Shard Saviour and Ixol, right?"

"Yeah...?"

"Think about his perspective, he wanted to be a father to his kids but couldn't always be there for Ixol, and when he was old enough to be on his own, he felt like something was missing."

Voixer tilted its head.

"The Saviour, your brother, was created so Cyalm could have a chance at being a father. But you know how that ended, right?"

"He was almost killed.."

"Yeah, so naturally he never really had a chance. But you, you're his creation, so in a way, you're his son."

"But why me? Why me out of everyone he's created, why not someone else?"

"I'm not sure, I don't really talk to Cyalm, but I think it's because out of every point he's created, you're the one who's been hurt the most. Because of your initial purpose, that you were like a shadow of him, and see how that affected you? Maybe he just wants to make up for it."

Voixer didn't respond, placing the empty mug on the table in front of them.

"Just, give him a chance. I know it's all sudden and it's not something you're used to, concerning he barely even cared for you in the beginning but... Well. I don't know actually, I don't know what it means to be a Dad, I just know Cyalm has his reasons. And he'd be worried for you right now, if he found out you're not anywhere in those places I mentioned earlier."

"I'm too tired to think of this. But I'll give that old man a chance, but just not tonight... Can I stay here?"

"Of course! Plus it's raining out there, I don't think it's ideal to go out at the moment."

Voixer would rest their head against the couch's armrest on their side, Anshine would move a bit, letting the void point lay down on the couch.

"I'll get you a pillow and blanket."

"Isn't Stratosfear usually hoarding all of it?"

"I have spares for guests, Voixer."

"Ah, okay, I'd like that."

Anshine got up and headed to a different room, Voixer looked around, thinking of their conversation, their symbol flickering.

"Maybe... Maybe it wouldn't be so bad, at least he is trying..."

A blanket was placed on them, Anshine would give Voixer a pillow, they would hug it tightly.

"Good night, Voixer."

"Good night."

Soon, they drifted off to sleep. Anshine's symbol flickered as he gazed at Voixer.

At least everything's settled for him, he must've been deeply troubled by tha- who's knocking at my door this hour?

Anshine quickly walked over to the door, opening it slightly. Behind the door was Cyalm, soaked from the rain, his hair unkempt and visibly stressed.

"I-I'm sorry to disturb you at this time, but have you—"

"He's here, sleeping on the couch. Calm down."

"I was so worried, I thought—"

"It's okay. I get why you're troubled but you have to calm down. Voixer isn't a child to be constantly worried about, if anything it's making them uncomfortable with you caring for it like they're your son on a constant basis."

"Should I stop...?"

"No, but you have to remember that they lived a life in the void alone, never really expecting anything from you and had been affected by the fact they weren't truly made of nothing. So what you're doing comes off as strange and they don't know how to process it."

"I... I suppose you're right. I'm sorry."

"Well, I've spoken about it to Voixer, they will try to at least appreciate what you're doing, even if it's not normal to them."

Cyalm slowly nods, standing there in silence.

"Anyways, you're soaked. Let me get you a towel to dry off, so you can come inside. Want to have some tea?"

"... Yes, I want that. Though, I feel that your kindness is a bit too much."

"Can't blame you, but I don't want to actively hate you for the past." He says while grabbing a towel, tossing it to Cyalm.

"Now go dry up, I'll prepare you a cup of tea. The rain's going to be here all night, I won't mind some company."
