[Angst] Stratosfear x Anshine

Requested by thefand0m_writer! And because Plexi's request is the equivalent of a sharp piece of broken glass, I'm going to have to use a different indicator than usual. Take the indicator itself as a warning.

It had been years since Anshine brought Stratosfear to Star Sanctuary, the day they had brought the first star saviour home. Things were rocky at first, though they had seemingly all gotten along. Anshine and Stratosfear grew to be close friends, where nothing was wrong and it felt as if Anshine truly was their best friend... Gradually, Stratosfear drifted apart from them, but Anshine seems to feel something else for them.

"How do I tell them this..." Anshine mumbles to themselves as they pace around their dimly lit room, their window being the only light source as the stars glow brightly outside.

They sigh, shaking their head. "I need more time to think about this... Maybe I'll take it easy, yeah, they might get too shocked if I just said it outright. That's it." They nod their head, taking a seat on their bed as they get lost in their thoughts.

Silence filled the room, only the soft sounds of their breathing can be heard. They slowly lay down on their bed, letting sleep take a hold of them for the night.

Their dreams are a blur, glimpses of memories not of their current life. It belongs to their life once as a human, yet too vague to be grasped upon. Anshine watches as it all flashes by, it felt all so familiar yet they couldn't understand why or what these were. As they try to reach for these memories, they wake up.

"Anshine? Anshine wake up, it's noon already" A voice called out as they slowly blinked awake. They gaze over to the entity beside them, it is Stratosfear.

"Oh... Sorry, I had trouble sleeping last night." They admitted to Stratosfear, "So I slept quite late. Hopefully I didn't miss anything, right?"

"No, don't worry about it." Stratosfear replied, their voice low and quiet.

"Well, have you eaten yet? I can make pancakes."

Stratosfear tilts their head. "Pancakes at noon?"

"Yeah!" Anshine smiled, "there's nothing wrong about having pancakes in the middle of the day, just ask Ixol about that!"

"... True. Well, I haven't eaten much for breakfast anyway so I'd love some pancakes."

Anshine nods and quickly gets out of bed, heading to their kitchen to prepare the ingredients to make some pancakes. Stratosfear watched them from afar, looking rather gloomy as their friend made some pancakes.

"They're so much like Mason, yet I know they're not him. I wish they could remember who they were..." They thought to themselves, leaning against a wall. Stratosfear watched as Anshine plated the pancakes, adding strawberries and a drizzle of chocolate on top.

They put the two plates of pancakes on the table, smiling. "Lunch is ready!"

Stratosfear smiles a little and walks over to the table, taking a seat as Anshine slowly slid the plate and utensils in front of them. They notice the way the starry point gazed at him lovingly, shaking their head before taking a bite out of their pancakes. The two eat their pancakes in silence, Anshine drifted to their thoughts from the night before.

"So how do I tell them about how I feel? Surely I have to find the right time, the right place... That might work out." They thought to themselves as they eat their pancakes. Anshine would try and talk to Stratosfear after a while, only for them to get up and walk away. They sigh at this.

"They're always off to their own things... I hope they're okay."

The day goes on and Anshine stands by the fountain, they had not seen Stratosfear that much during the time. They look around the sanctuary, watching the angels happily interact with one another, full of joy and laughter with each and every one of them.
