"New York? I'm not staying in a hotel or renting an apartment." Luke crossed his arms. He's such a pessimist, can't he see the fun In going to New York?
"I own an apartment building, I take vacations there sometimes, I keep the penthouse all to myself, we can stay there." I stood up from the piano. My braided hair now laid across my shoulder.
"Fine..." Luke rolled his eyes at me. I can't believe he agreed, I guess he likes the idea of staying in a penthouse.
"Okay Valentine, why don't you hop in the booth, I want to record London Boy, not for this album but just so we have it." Our manager smiled.
"Okay, that's fine. It's actually one of my favorites." I said excitedly as I hopped in the booth.
"That doesn't make sense, why record it if you're not going to use it, and it doesn't fit with our fake love story." Luke rolled his eyes.
"Why not?" I asked as I laughed.
"Because I'm Australian, you idiot." Luke sat down by the piano and ran his hands through his long curls. Right now his hair was the only thing tolerable about him.
I laughed as I put on the headphones in the burgundy booth
Luke didn't bother to put headphones on. Why would he want to hear what I have to sing, he's already made up his mind about me.
I had finished singing and walked out of the booth to see Michael smiling at me. He was cute, probably the cutest out of the rest of them.
"That was an amazing Valentine, I loved it." He said to me, I smiled back, if I wasn't "dating" Luke I'd probably go for Michael.
"Thanks." I responded as I looked into his forest green eyes.
"Ok Michael, keep it in your pants. It probably wasn't even that good." I saw Luke roll his eyes once again. I took a deep breath in, thinking deeply about my next step, I couldn't let him get to me. Not like the others.
"Ok...thank you for your opinion, I really appreciate it." I responded respectfully. He can't win...it's not a competition, but he can't affect my emotions. "We should get packed, so I'll head home and we can meet at the airport and we can take my jet." I smiled as I walked out the door.
"Hey!" I heard someone yell. I turned around to see it was Luke who had chased after me. "Can you stop doing that, you're ruining the fun." I didn't understand what he meant by that. So far, I wasn't having any fun, but I couldn't let him see that of course, so I just responded "I'm sorry." and walked away.
I went home, packed, and changed outfits. I changed into a baby pink flowy short skirt and a light long sleeved shirt with small pink flowers on it, and I put on my ballet flats and sunglasses and left for the airport.
"Pink? Seriously?" Luke smirked as he walked onto the jet to see me sitting in my designated seat.
"On Wednesdays we wear pink." I quoted the infamous mean girls line as I took off my sunglasses elegantly and placed them next to the green drink I had on my table.
"It's not even wednesday." He rolled his eyes, didn't his eyes get tired?
"It's a joke." I said as he sat at the other end of the jet as me.
"It's not funny, you're not funny, so please, be quiet and leave me alone." He said as he put on his headphones and blocked me and the entire world out.
