"Luke! Wake up!" I opened my eyes to see Val standing over me.

"What day is it? Who are you? Where am I?" I joked. Of course I know who you are. I could never forget you, I thought.

"It's self-care Sunday! Now get up." She started pulling me off the bed until I pulled her back. She fell onto my chest. "Please!" I couldn't say no to those eyes so I did what she asked.

She made me waffles this morning and she wouldn't let me get dressed until I took a long shower, for some reason. She said she wanted to do my hair before my shower and she sat me on the toilet facing away from her. "What're you doing?" I asked as she rummaged through her bag. She was wearing a bright pink skirt with a light pink turtleneck and my black leather jacket.

She started massaging and oiling my hair. It was so relaxing. "Okay...you can take your shower now."She left. As I was in the shower I longed for her to be there with me. After my shower I styled it how I liked and got dressed.

"So...how do we do this self care Sunday thing?" I sat next to her on the couch, wrapping my arm around her, pulling her into my chest. Anything I could do to be closer to her.

"Well...what do you feel like doing today?" She looked up at me.

"We should work on some songs today...maybe for my album." I suggested. I needed to get something down. She seemed like she had written a lot already, I need to catch up.

"Yes! We should be productive!" Is work really a part of self care sunday?

"You're such a good girl. It's honestly funny." I laughed.

"Good girls are bad girls." She crossed her arms. Was she really upset? I hope not. "They just haven't been caught doing bad things." She was cute when she was all defensive, not to mention she just gave me a song idea.

"Hey...what was your school life like? I mean before you got famous?" I was genuinely curious.

"Well I was kind of a loner but I got good grades because I studied basically every night."

"Perfect." I got up and ran us over to the piano.

"Cause good girls are bad girls that haven't been caught." I sang. I think she was finally getting my point when she began to smile.

"So just turn around and forget what you saw." She sang. "I think then we should repeat the good girls line." She wrote it down in her notebook.

"I think the song should start with She's a good girl, she's daddy's favorite." I laughed, I just wanted to see her riled up.

"Ew Luke, that's disgusting." She hit my shoulder playfully. "He saved for Harvard." She sang.

"He knows she'll make it." I continued to sing.

"Well she's a good girl, a straight A student." She sang.

"She's really into all that self-improvement." I laughed.

We finally finished the song. She looked excited to write with me. This was definitely becoming a thing. She wrapped her arm around me and tousled my hair as I gave her a kiss on her cheek. Before I could say another word the door swung open.

"Valentine!" The man screamed as he opened his arms.

"Oh my god! How'd you know I was here!" My girl yelled as she ran into this random guy's arms. "I missed you so much! How's the firm?" She was so happy...who the fuck was this guy. He had dark brown hair and blue eyes. He was wearing a button up shirt with a tie and work pants and shoes.

"Is Pen here too?" Pen...wait isn't that one of her brothers...Oh! Then this must be Chris. I was so worried that she had a secret boyfriend or something.

"Yeah I'm here." A shorter man walked in with dirty blonde hair similar to Val's, he was also in work clothes. He hugged Val and kissed her on the cheek that my lips had once been on.

"Oh my god! Guys." She ran towards me and grabbed my hand, bringing me towards the guys. "This is my boyfriend!" She smiled. She was happy to introduce me as her boyfriend...right?

"I'm sorry, who are you?" Chris asked in an annoyed tone. I could already tell he didn't like me.

"C'mon man! That's Luke Hemmings! His band is amazing. It's amazing to meet you, I'm a huge fan." Pen shook my hand.

"It's nice to meet you too. It's nice to meet you Chris." I stretched out my hand for Chris to shake.

"Can't say the same to you." He didn't shake my hand. "Let me ask you a question Luke. Have you ever cheated on someone? Or left them without any warning? Or...died?" That last one was...something.

"No...but I've been cheated on...if that means anything." I smiled, thinking about the one I had pushed out of my memory. The one I hadn't thought about since I met Val. She looked up at me, surprised, but sad, like she had felt my pain.

"Ok..." He looked me up and down, like he was deciding whether or not to kill me.

"I mean I still can't believe what Matt did...I mean I honestly can't even comprehend him leaving her like that. Especially after all she gave him..." Chris' expression softened.

"Ok...well we just came to check up on you because we heard about Matt being in the city. It must've been hard. I'm sorry Valentine." Pen sympathized.

"It's okay...Luke was there. Everything's fine when Luke's around...he's very protective." She laughed as I kissed her on the top of her head.

"Okay...well it seems like you're in good hands...bye sister, love you." Chris and Pen left.

I sat on the couch and let out a long breath. Val layed down, her head in my lap. "Were you nervous?" She asked. Hell yes.

"No." I responded.

"It's okay...it's cute." She laughed. Cute...she thinks I'm cute...

"Oh so you think I'm cute." I laughed as I moved a piece of hair out of her face.

"Shut up." So cute.
