"HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY, AYATO!" You said as you smiled at your boyfriend's surprised expression. 

It was a cold weather outside and the morning had just begun. The two of you were on off from work today as you wanted to spend the time together.

Ayato was a busy working man. Well you weren't any less but comparatively, he had less room to breath every single day due to work. Which did trouble you a bit as he always returned home extremely tired or close to passing out. 

Without him knowing, you applied a leave request for him that would last for three days at least. Today was his last day of applied leave, meaning from tomorrow he would have to get back to his hurried work life.

"Well, this was unexpected. I thought I told you, I only wanted to spend time with you on valentine's than making you go through trouble to get me something." He said as he opened the gift you had presented him.

Ayato was wealthy. Too WEALTHY. He has gifted you a lot of things on multiple occasions. May it be expensive clothing, jewels or dates, he gives you everything. The smallest wish that you didn't care much about would come true if he heard about it.

There was nothing this man practically didn't own hence you had to go on and look for other ways to gift him something that he wouldn't be owning. So you went with what you thought he couldn't get his hands on. 

Your cooking. Your signature cooking that he sometimes fought with Ayaka and Thoma to get his hands on. 

Cream Rolls and homemade Chocolates, wrapped in light pink shades of wrappers.

"All for me? None for Ayaka and Thoma, I assume?" He asked with a grin. His face was brightly lit up upon seeing the box of assorted chocolates and the cream rolls you had prepared.

"All for you only!" You said with a smile that made his heart skip. His face was slightly heated up and the tip of his ears had a tint of redness due to how flustered he was and not the cold.

You noticed this and a smirk formed all over your face. "What's with the flustered behavior Ayato?"

"Ah...I feel like you are spoiling me with too much gifts of the recent. I don't know how to thank you." He said as the two of you took a seat down on the bench.

"A year and four months." You said as you smiled and looked away. 

He tilt his head in confusion as he had no idea of what you had meant. Only then did it hit Ayato about what you were referring to.

"A year and four months ago I asked you out on a date if I recall?" Ayato said tried one of the cream rolls you had prepared.

You sighed and crossed your legs on each other. "Yes dumbass, We've been dating for that long so as your partner can't I give you a gift? You on the other hand is completely failing as my partner." You said which made him slightly choke.

"What-? What have I done? Did I disappoint you? Is there something I neglected?" Ayato started shooting many questions at you. You decided to silence him but placing your index finger on his lips.

He looked at you with concern. "No you didn't neglect me but you are failing to take care of yourself properly. Do you know how out of place you've been after coming back home from work?"

You asked him and he only looked at you in silence. 

"So from today please, please take care of yourself properly." You finished of your sentence only to feel Ayato bring your forehead close to his lips as he kissed your forehead gently.

"Thank you for loving me and caring so much about me."

Ayato took you on a date to a very expensive restaurant and only ate salad because he chose the healthy life.
