It was getting tiring - the whole shoot someone with a love shaped arrow so they fall for their destined match thing. As cupid shot her arrows towards unsuspecting humans and watched as they instantly felt attraction for each other, she couldn't help but wonder what it would be like to be in their place.

Sure, the lonliness was bearable sometimes. She used to have a partner in the business, but he'd long since given it up. He too had become tired of constantly watching the humans falling in love but never being able to do the same. It was a tireless cycle of shooting and watching, and it was time for her to hand in her resignation letter too.

Perhaps the next person in line for love shooting wouldn't be so pathetic. Perhaps they wouldn't wish for love and affection like she did. After all these years, she was beginning to realise that she just wasn't suited for the job.

Sighing to herself as she checked her list of targets, she scanned each face until she found the last target for the day. Jung Hoseok. Hmm. Interesting. He was fated to be matched with his dance student Song Areum. According to her sources, the two had a platonic relationship. Hoseok had definitely been attracted to Areum but had never made a move – he couldn't risk their friendship.

Making her way towards the dance studio where she knew she'd find the couple, Cupid scanned the crowds for the brunette man. Just one last target. She told herself. It was a quick and thoughtless decision to leave, but hopefully it would make her happier. Perhaps she could get into something like art, or photography. Hopefully Zeus had some job like that for her.

Finding the Brunette man outside the building, Cupid hooked an arrow into her string and pulled it past her upper torso. She had a keen eye on the target as he made his way across the road beside the dance studio. However, just as she was about to make her shot, a car had made its way speeding straight into Hoseok.

Hoseok barely had any time to look at the oncoming car before he was hit by its bumper and thrown over the roof before tumbling back unto the road behind it. Unfortunately, Cupid could only watch in horror as it happened. As she was on duty, her ability to interfere face to face with humans was limited.

It seemed as though Hoseok had been killed by the accident as he lay there on the road, unmoving. Passer-bys gathered around in shock and horror and many even tried to call for help. It wasn't long before several emergency vehicles made their way to the scene. Cupid watched them take the limp man away and decided to follow, despite the fact that she would have to answer her boss about it later.

What she heard from the doctors hit her in the heart harder than what her own arrow would have.

Hoseok the dancer was never going to be able to use his legs again.

"You're handing in your resignation?" Asked her boss later that day as he scanned over the form she handed him. He looked towards her skeptically after reading it. "Is this because of that accident earlier? That's a rare thing, Cupid-"

"No," Cupid blurted, "I'm just tired of it."

Her boss gave her an unimpressed expression. "Tired of what?"
