"Let's go on a date," I look up from the vegetables I was chopping and settle my eyes on Xavier.

"why?"

"What do you mean why? Do I need a reason to take my wife on a date?"

I've been addressed as his wife so many times, it's now beginning to sound natural. It's a Saturday morning, I am making breakfast and Xavier is here with me. I'm now slowly starting to believe we're an actual family which is honestly far from the truth.

I smiled at him, "of course not, it's just all you think about is work so I was a little bit surprised when you mentioned a date." He stands up from the stool he's sitting on and walks to my back.

"Are you upset because all I think of is work?" He hugs me from behind."Hmm?" His whisper sends a shiver down my spine.

"Now where did you get that from?" I chuckle, he grabs my waist, turns me around and sits me on the kitchen island.

"Your tune, I got it from your tune," he smiles up at me.

"You can think about work all you want, I don't care."

He frowns, "you really don't care?" He asked using his hand to stroke my thigh.

"Stop cheating."

"I'm not cheating!!"

"Yes you are! You always cheat."

"How?" He asks innocently and I draw in a sharp breath.

"Whenever we're bickering about something you always. . ."

"Always what?" He had this mischievous gleam in his eyes, I shake my head. "Don't think you can back out of this now." He stroked further down my thigh and I grabbed his hand.

"Xavier I have food on the fire, don't you want to eat?"

"I see my food right in front of me already," you didn't need to tell me to know that I was as red as a tomato..

"You keep getting bold!"

"What do you mean, I've always been bold. You're just noticing now?"

I'm smiling sheepishly, my happiness evident.  "Oh my God Xavier the soup is burning," I shove him and hop down, without thinking I grab the pot and immediately regret it. The skin of my palm comes in contact with the hot pot and I dope it with a loud yelp accidentally spilling some on my hand.
