Chapter 6
Harriet POV
I stayed silent after seeing Tom smile. (Holy fucking shit, he is most definitely a ladies killer.... Why must I be stuck in a one year old's body? If only I could be 18 again.) I started to pout to myself, mostly due to the thought process that I was having. "Don't worry master, time works faster than you think." Cronus linked to me. (Say you Cronus, at least you're not stuck in a baby's body!) I linked grumpily, all I hear in reply is a deep chuckle.
I turned and leaned into the side of the crib. (Right, laugh at my expense asshole. Now where the hell are the rotisserie chickens at?) Right on que distant frantic footsteps could be heard running up the stairs towards the nursery. "No no no! Please not Lily and Harriet, please not them too!" A voice I knew all too well bellowed out in desperation and sorrow. (Sirius! I need to save him too! Klotho please! I need to talk to him!) I begged. ("You don't need to beg master, talk to him as soon as he picks you up.") Klotho gently answered me. (Thank you.) Was all I was able to say before Sirius threw himself into the room. "..Oh my god, Lily!.." The look of distraught and grief was written over his facial features. I started to make noise to show him that I was still alive, so that he doesn't have a complete mental breakdown. Sirius quickly rushed to the crib, "Harriet, my sweet goddaughter! Thank Hecate you're alive. Come here love." Sirius said as he picked me up.
Bitter, sweet tears slowly ran down his face and I felt his pain. He pressed me close to his chest, trying to convince himself that he wasn't dreaming. I took that chance to raise my hand and push my magic into his chest. (Sirius, it's me Harriet. Sadly you're not dreaming.) I gently tried to coax him. Sirius shot his head down to look at me, "Harriet? How?" he questioned me. (I know this is very sudden and confusing, oh boy I already know you're not going to like this one bit. You have to leave without me, right now. Dumbledore set this up. He is killing the innocent, my parents, and he is about to do the same to you by sending you to Azkaban for the next 12 years. Don't look for Peter, go straight to Grimmauld Place and hide there. I already know that you haven't given Dumbledore access yet. Please, go now, I promise to find you and explain more later.) I explained in a rush.
Sirius was torn "Dumbledore planned this? He killed James and Lily? Wait. You want me to leave you here, that's not happening missy!!" (Sirius! I'm not going to argue with you! I've already lost dad and mum, I'm not going to lose you too! Now Leave Please! I'll come find you in time!) I frantically yelled at him through the link. With a look of heartbreak, Sirius took a long look at me "You're just as stubborn as your parents. This is absolutely mental. You have a lot of explaining to do! I trust you all the same. I love you sweetheart." (I love you too Sirius, see you soon.)
He kissed my forehead and placed me back into my crib, then made a mad sprint to the window to get to the apparition spot outside. I listened to the sound of a sharp snap that echoed outside and wanted to cry in happiness. (He's going to be safe, he's going to be okay! Oh thank the gods!) I thought in relief, wanting to savor the feeling of joy in this morbid ass moment. Sadly my happiness was short lived when I heard 3 short cracks. (Great, fuckers incoming! How fast will it take them to get up here?)
I sat there a little, trying to calculate when to turn on the crocodile tears so that I could give them a petty show. I listened carefully, waiting for one of them to make a sound. (They're being very cautious, probably not giving a damn and wanting to save their own sorry asses just in case. Oh well, now is as good as any time to start the drama party.) With that being thought, I let out a blood curdling cry while squeezing out a tear or two for effect. The sound of an elephant stampede heading towards the room was funny to say the least.
The first to make entry into the room was Hagrid. "I told ye we should have came here faster, but no ye didn't listen to me!" Hagrid yelled over his shoulder. "Hagrid dear, no yelling!" That disgusting shrill voice, I knew it all too well. A pregnant Molly walked in, trying to make herself look all high and mighty. The urge to kill her off right then and there was strong. "Master, we know. Try to breathe and remain as calm as possible, patience is key for now." Thanatos gently reminded me. (Right, it won't do me any good for me to try to do anything right now. Thank you.)
I sighed in slight defeat and leaned back a little to watch Hagrid and Molly argue a little. "Would you two knock it the hell off!?!?" A shaggy man in tattered clothing roared. "Tsk, whatever Fletcher." Snapped Molly. "Ay Mundungus, I was only trying to make a statement." Hagrid tried to reason. "Out of everything to be tasked, I got stuck with baby duty! I even got paired with a half giant and a pregnant hormonal bitch, that should have kept her fucking ass at home!" Mundungus Fletcher raged. (HA!!! He is causing more drama than I am. Pity.) I mused to myself in happiness from the chaos that's being created in front of me. "Don't you dare speak to me in such a way! You should consider yourself lucky that you're not in Azkaban, you shameless uneducated drunk!" A red faced Molly all, but howled. Mundungus simply gave a nasty smile and turned away to try and spite her more. Hagrid shook his head and turned his attention to me. "Poor Harriet, come here dear." I had mixed fixings about Hagrid. I was happy to see him, it's true; but I don't know if I can trust him. (I guess I'll have to find that out later, when I get most of everything organized.)
Hagrid put me on a blanket and tried to swaddle me the best that he could. "There we go, snug as a bug. Time to get you to the head master." I quivered at the mention of the old fart. (Great. This is going to be one hell of a ride, I can already feel myself getting sick.) Hagrid started to walk out the room, when Molly tried to take me from him. "Where do you think you're taking her!?" Her revolting voice wailed out. Hagrid remained silent, while at the same; keeping me from her reach. "Would you give it a rest, you damned banshee! If you were fucking listening, he said that he was taking her to the head master. Now get your head out of your ass, clean your bloody ears and get off of your little pedestal that you've created!" Fletcher said furiously.
Hagrid shook his head again and walked out of the room, heading down the stairs. "Ye shouldn't listen to them. I promise to get you somewhere safe Harriet." (Oh Hagrid, if only you knew. I deeply wish to tell you everything, but I must wait. I don't want Dumbledore being suspicious of you changing sides, not yet anyway.) I thought in sadness. With Hagrid's pace we were already next to the apparition spot. "I guess they're gonna continue to argue in there. Shall we just leave them in the dust?" Hagrid joked. I gave a high pitched giggle to try and indicate a 'yes' to the joke. He smiled brightly down at me and walked into the middle. "4 Privet Drive." I heard him mutter. Then the pulling at my navel began. (Ready or not, here we go!)
