Markus - What (the) Hell is this?

Seriously though, since when did it look like this? I mean, I'm not exactly a Christian anymore, but I know for a fact that this isn't Christianity's hell. In fact, I don't think it's any religion's.

Anyway, to the more important question, am I dead now? I ran into something, I blacked out, and the first thing I saw was the "King of Hell" (who sorta hates me) and a giant, orangey sky above? Sort of a sky, I guess. I'm assuming that there's a giant roof at the top, since this is probably underground.

Either way, I'm in the land of the dead. One of them, at least.

I slowly sat up, and to my chagrin (that's a word but I'm probably not using it correctly), I noticed that this was clearly not where I just was. As in, it was nothing like where I just was. I pass out in a bar, and I wake up in..here.

Okay, so, turns out my contacts also have a photo mode

Okay, so, turns out my contacts also have a photo mode. Neat.

Moving on..yeah. It's sort of insane. It's ginormous compared to Neon District, but it's clearly not earthly. I leaned on the railing and took a breath of the air, and immediately coughed. I reached up and felt my respirator, which felt like it began to overheat. It must have been filtering too much, or filtering something that it clearly couldn't handle.

I looked around in a panic, since, y'know, I was starting to lose the ability to breathe, and spotted Itego. He looked different, but sort of in a better way; he was back in his own territory, I guess. His skin looked less pale, and his hair wasn't as flat. Plus, his expression wasn't sharp and annoyed anymore - it was relieved. That was, until, he looked over at me.

His smile faded, and he seemed concerned again. Nevertheless, he held out his hand, and being the polite gentleman I am (that's a joke by the way), I shook it. A moment later, though, I think he must have transported us somewhere else. I felt a rush of wind in my ears, and my mind felt like it just did a cartwheel inside a giant washing machine, which isn't that fun.

My nausea almost got the best of me, and I had to shut my eyes, even after the wind and spiraling had stopped. I groaned, but my voice was sort of overtaken by another one.

"...and make sure Kaito and Ivory know he's here. Thank you." Itego seemed to be talking to someone else, and judging by the footsteps that followed, it was a quick order. I didn't open my eyes, but I knew he was staring down at me. I usually know when I'm being watched. No pun intended.

"You can take off the mask," His tone wasn't angry, but it was definitely less-than cheerful. "you can breathe in here. I doubt you would have lasted another minute out there." He clicked his tongue. "..You might need to get up, by the way. They're coming."
