When the coast was clear, macaque stepped out of mei's shadow and planted his feet on the ground. He looked over to the campfire that was lit as all the others slept around it for warmth. He looked at everyone making sure they were all fully asleep; pigsy and tang were cuddled up together in a sickeningly cute matter, Mo was sleeping with sandy, Mei was sleeping by herself equally distanced from everyone else, and MK and wukong were semi-curled up next to each other. Wukong and MK always had a father-son-like bond. Macaque's gaze rested on the monkey king before him. He stepped closer to get a better look at the golden semian.

He crouched down and tilted his head. Wukong was snoring obnoxiously loudly, with slight drool dripping from his mouth. Macaque was surprised that the others haven't woken up sure to his snoring. Macaque couldn't help but smile at the sight. He brushed a piece of hair out of wukong's face with his thumb lovingly. He hated the king with all his heart, every fiber of his being. But he couldn't help but admire the immortal. Macaque's tail swayed behind him slowly. Wukong slightly grumbled waking up. Macaque panicked and quickly sunk back into Mei's shadow, praying to not wake up the dragon girl from her deep slumber.

He tried to stay still and tried to control his breathing. After a while of waiting the black-furred monkey rose out of the girl's shadow. He looked back to where wukong slept to see if he went back to sleep, only to find that he was gone. Leaving MK alone with the blanket covering him in an almost loving matter. Wukong must have covered MK with it before he left. Macaque's eyes widened.

"WHERE THE FUCK DID HE GO!?", macaque whisper-screamed to not wake the others.

He looked around to make sure monkey king wasn't behind him or anything, planning to beat the hell out of him. Macaque used the shadows to zoom around in search of the golden monkey. He eventually found him standing in the forest looking up at the sky. Macaque jumped out of the shadows and hid behind a tree and stared at the monkey from afar. The first thing that macaque noticed is that wukong was still shirtless, his bare chest exposed. Why couldn't they find this man a shirt...?

Macaque couldn't help but stare at his chest hungrily, his tail thumping against the ground in excitement. Macaque's ears perked up as he noticed the thumping. He quickly grabbed his tail to stop it from making any further noise. His tail still slightly wagged in his grasp.

Wukong heard the thumping and turned to where it was coming from, still slightly tired. Macaque hid behind the tree covering the mouth still grasping his tail as it stopped wagging. Wukong sighed his expression becoming more sluggish and tired as he turned back to look at the stars. Macaque peeked at wukong, still hidden behind the tree. He took a sigh of relief, thankful to not be seen by the monkey. He let go of his tail with an annoyed expression.

"stupid tail... Almost got me caught!", he thought agitated.

He used the shadows to move around to get a better look at the golden monkey before him. He went tree to tree slyly with wukong not suspecting a thing. He slid over to the tree that was closest to wukong. Macaque examined him hungrily yet again, he quickly grabbed his tail before it could even start wagging.

He clawed at the tree trunk as he bared his teeth, his tail wagging more aggressively by the second. Wukong sighed resting his shoulders. He clutched his fists looking down.

"why the hell are you here... Macaque?", wukong spoke in a hushed yet threatening tone. Holy SHIT.

His tone alone made him nervous and yet more hungry. He took a deep breath gaining his composure before stepping from behind the tree and putting on a mischievous smirk presenting himself. Wukong turned to look at him, getting into a slight fighting stance.

"Well, hello oh so great sage equal to Heaven!", he said in a mocking tone hoping to annoy the monkey king. Which he successfully did so.

Monkey King gave him a threatening look and Macaque smirked at this stepping closer to the golden monkey, tail swaying behind him.
