Wukong noticed that his shadow wasn't acting like... Well... A shadow!

Sometimes it would lag behind on his movements, sometimes it would also move a bit on it's own, but any he caught this. And he could have sworn that once he saw it have 6 ears! And he keeps hearing voices inside his head, especially at night! The voice gave him words of wisdom and decision-making and kind and loving words of adoration at night when he was sleeping, those sweet words would always make him stay up all night his face flushing, like WHAT KIND OF A SHADOW IS THIS!?

Wukong was determined to get to the bottom of this and find out why this was happening. So he set a trap with the help of his many monkey subjects. The plan was that he would pretend to eat peaches and not pay attention to the shadow and as soon as it moves then BAM! Problem solved!

He set his plan into motion, making sure to keep a close eye on his shadow, then suddenly the shadow began to move and someone poked their head out! It was a monkey, Just like him! But he had black fur and six ears. The black-furred shadow monkey looked at him, adoringly as he let out a quiet dreamy sigh. Wukong didn't waste another second as he tackled the monkey to the ground, laughing in triumph.

"GOT YOU!", he said playfully as he pinned the shadow monkey to the ground.

The shadow monkey looked up at wukong, wide-eyed. His pupils expanded as he let out a small purr, and his tail trashed about in excitement.

Wukong quirked an eyebrow at this behavior, "first things first, who are you?", wukong asked, narrowing his eyes.

"u-um, I can tell you if you g-get off me...", the monkey said in a timid voice.

Wukong noticed their position and steadily got off of the monkey and helped him up.

"OH BUDDHA! I'm so sorry!", wukong apologized in a panic.

"no no, it's ok...", the monkey said with a soft smile.

Wukong then saw that this guy wasn't a threat so he threw away any sort of plans to attack him. The monkey liked off to the side, shyly.

"well I guess I should introduce myself!", wukong said proudly in a heroic tone, be for pumping his fist up in the air, summoning his staff. "I'm sun wukong! The King of monkeys!"

"I know...", the monkey interrupted gently, looking at wukong with an adoring gaze.

Wukong dropped his staff.

"y-you do?", wukong asked, embarrassed for being so ahead of himself. The monkey chuckled.

"of course I do! After all I've been following you in your shadow for the past 3 months- OK that's sounds so creepy when said out loud... But anyway...", macaque said looking down. "i-im macaque... The six eared macaque or just Liu'er Mihou-"

"SO YOUR THE ONE THAT'S BEEN GIVING ME ADVISE AND COMPLAMENTING ME IN MY SLEEP!", Wukong shouted in amazement.

Macaque covered his ears and winced at the noise. Wukong noticed his distress before walking up to him and petting ears, trying to ease the pain if what he did helped.

"sorry!", wukong apologized softly, petting his ears.

Macaque whimpered and let out a content purr leaning into the touch. Wukong smiled.

"what, you like that?", wukong asked sweetly.

Macaque quickly nodded, as his purrs became louder. After a while macaque then spoke up.

"u-um, it's good to meet you- mmph~ w-wukong...", macaque said, whimpering from wukong petting his ears. Suddenly macaque began to panic. "A-ALSO YOU HEARD ME AT NIGHT!?"

"of course I did!", wukong exclaimed. "you where always talking about how beautiful I was and how perfect I was, and as well as say you would never be good enough for me...", wukong said his voice training off. "you also did a lot of stuff too, like pet me, held my hand, snuggle into my hand, I think you wrapped your tail around mine... And I also think you kis-"

"O-OK! That's ENOUGH!", macaque exclaimed, blushing.

Wukong laughed at macaque's embarrassment. He gave him a pat on the head before pulling him along.

"Where are we going?", macaque asked nervously.

"I'm gonna introduce you to the rest of my friends, they're gonna love you!"
