Valentine event

Request: Anonymous asked: "I have managed to keep the details of your return quiet." Aemond targaryen x fem reader for the valentine 2023 event. Aemond got reader pregnant and Alicent helped hide reader so she could have the baby and then come back to marry Aemond and pretend the baby is born after the wedding.

When Alicent had come for you, you thought it was the end. You had stolen her favourite child. He was yours as much as you were his. She would no doubt be furious. It was no secret that she had turned down many marriage offers offered to him.

"Mother." Aemond had said softly. The two of you were hidden away in a small room at the edge of the city. The two of you had been arranging to get away but had yet to finish your plans.

"We have gold to take care of your problem." She said coldly. Sir Cole was with her, standing behind the queen with his hand resting on his weapon. You didn't want to think of how she was going to take care of the problem and you shrank back. Aemond stepped in front of you, a hand out to shelter you from his mother's glare. Her eyes followed his hand which brushed over your barely visible bump, now too big to hide, too far along to persuade anyone with a well-cut dress.

"We don't need your gold mother." Aemond said sharply. She glared at you as you peeked out from behind Aemond and he pulled his sword from it's sheath.

"No need for that my prince." Sir Cole said quickly. Aemond didn't move and Alicent sighed.

"The shame this will bring us... I expected this from your brother but from you. To fall for some... some whores wiles." Alicent's words were hard and made Aemond stomp forward furiously.

"Take that back! You know nothing about us. You wish (Y/N) gone then I leave too. You will not steal someone I love from me! You will not send my own child away." Aemond was furious and for the first time in her life, she was afraid of him. You clutched onto his hand which forced him to pull away from her. He turned his back on them comforting you quietly. Alicent watched the way that you looked at Aemond as he soothed you, the gentle way he touched your stomach and sighed again.

"If anyone finds out you have put her in this... situation... we will need to find a way to hide..." Alicent started slowly.

"I will not!" Aemond started again as he turned to look at her again.

"Interrupt me again. I may well change my mind about this. She will be sent away. Have the baby. When she is healed she will come back and you shall marry the appropriate way. You were all large children... it should not be hard to change the child's name day. We shall spread word that the two of you are courting in private and it shall not be so strange when we announce your wedding. You will have to be apart." Alicent offered up.

"No!" Aemond snapped.

"If you are not here we shall not be able to pretend that (Y/N) is tucked away in the Keep."

Aemond was reluctant but agreed. Alicent allowed you both until morning while she made her arrangements. Aemond kissed you sweetly, his hand on your belly as he slowly said goodbye. Sir Cole was sent with you in a small carriage, not one marked by the royal houses. To your surprise, after a long exhausting journey, you found yourself in Old Town. Several people who you quickly realised were family to Alicent greeted you. You were well cared for, finding that the women warmed to you after a few days and held no judgement. You spent the next few months living comfortably. The day you gave birth word was sent to Alicent in a pre-arranged code she had with Sir Cole. It was long and arduous. But by the end, you had a baby boy with a shock of white-blond hair.

"My lady I am sorry but you must begin your travels as soon as possible. Arrangements have been made. We have supplies for your trip back and a few of my daughters and nieces would be honoured to wait on you if you would speak kindly for them at court." The Hightower woman, a cousin or aunt of Alicent's, you weren't sure, said kindly. You were surprised by their hospitality but found yourself grateful. Once everything was prepared you were rushed back, still sore and aching. The child fussed and cried but with the carriage now filled with fussing girls he was quickly tended to. Sir Cole dozed for most of the way. Under cover of darkness, you were rushed through King's Landing and up into the Keep.

"(Y/N)!" Aemond said as he rushed to greet you. The two of you were arm in arm as he walked with you to his mother's chambers. His eyes were glued to the child in your arms. Even Alicent seemed overjoyed to see him. She took the baby from you for a moment allowing you and Aemond to embrace each other properly.

"I have managed to keep the details of your return quiet." Alicent said as the three of you went to rooms that would be yours. "We have spread the rumour that you and Aemond were wed privately a year ago and that the two of you shall wed publicly tomorrow. You shall be wed at the Sept. There shall be a feast but all other formalities are optional. After all you two are supposedly already wed and you shall need to rest." Alicent handed you the child as she spoke and you nodded.

"Thank you." You said quietly.

"Your Grandfather may still do something to interfere." Alicent warned. Aemond nodded as if he had heard but was too busy doting over your and your son.

"I will speak with him." Aemond said firmly and looked up at Alicent who finally, after months was sure she had actually done the right thing. "This is all I want."
