Mothers Day

Julie's pov

I got barley any sleep last night, I was up all night crying. It's officially Mother's Day, since mom died it's been hard. But today is going to be harder than usual. Normally we would make her breakfast, Papi, Carlos, and I would all work together and give it to her in bed. But today is going to be different.

It's almost 11:30 and I'm still laying in bed with the very end of 'Wake Up' the song mom made for me, framed.

"Julie, you can do it. Love, mom."

I couldn't stop looking at it. It doesn't feel like I could do it. Not today.

I hear knocking at the door and groan as I cover my face with my blanket. The person knocked again but I ignored them. Another knock,

"I'm sleeping!" I call out, but I hear I familiar chuckle.

"Come on Jules." I hear Luke's voice coming closer.

Ever since we played the Orpheum I've been able to feel him. Everyone can see him, and the other guys too. Dad let them live in the garage, and him and Reggie seemed to get to know each other. No longer a one sided relationship between the two.

"It's almost lunchtime. Have you even got out of bed once today?"

I wiped my teary eyes and removed the blanket from my head, sitting up. He was leaning against my bed frame as he looked at me. His smile changes quickly to a concerned face.

"What happened?" He asks me as he sits at the foot of my bed.

Luke's pov

The guys and I were waiting for Julie all morning so I decided to go see if she was okay. I don't know if she's sleeping, or if she's just not been out of her room.

We have a gig in just two days. It's going to be huge, this is the first gig since we played the Orpheum. We don't even have to beg for places to play anymore.

The three of us are pumped, and I figured Julie would be too.

When I went in and she finally revealed her face, it was all tear stained. Her eyes all red, puffy, and her nose rosy, I could  immediately tell she was crying.

"What happened?" I ask worried for her.

I sit at the foot of her bed as she looks down.

"I thought I asked you to stay out of my room?"

I tilt my head not really knowing what to say.

"Well yeah, but I was just going to tell you we should practice for the gig in a few days, but that isn't really important. Not right now anyway."

"Right! The gig, I'm sorry. I completely forgot." She starts to stand up but I take her hand. She looks at it then up at me again.

"Julie, I'm not worried about the gig. What's going on?" She sighs and shakes her head.

"Can we please just focus on practice?" I nod and let go of her hand.

"Yeah, of course."

I poof out of her room thankful I still can. It's great being able to touch and everything. But I kinda miss being able to walk through walls and not having to worry about walking into stuff. I poof into the garage and see Alex and Reggie hanging out on the couch.

"Is she okay?" Alex asks worried.

"Yeah. No. I- I don't know." I say honestly. I sigh "Maybe. I think so? She wouldn't talk to me."

Reggie scrunches his face up. "It's Julie, she's always happy. If she's upset something has to be wrong."

I run my fingers through my hair "I know Reg, I just don't know what to do about it."
