About the time that Shadow made it to the base, he made sure that entrance wasn't guarded by some robots...when he saw that the close was clear, he walked up to the door and started to input the password to get inside. It really wanted that hard to unlock the door with a password, for a genius he really wasn't clever when it came to passwords.

He quickly avoided cameras that were hanging on the wall, as well as avoid any robots that were patrolling the hallways, it was only going to be a quick mission...mostly a search and rescue mission, that is if Sonic was here, he started to open doors and peak his head through to get a good looking around, but he mostly found out of commission broken down badniks, a testing area, some kind of chamber that was empty, a control room, a room filled with giant robots that were unfinished or destroyed, he stops in his tracks when he heard the oddly shaped human, start talking to himself.

"I will definitely get that hedgehog if it's the last thing I do..."

Shadow only rolls his eyes, he was kind of glad that Eggman didn't know that Sonic was missing, if he knew than the evil genius would take this chance to attack. He only continued his search, and only end up the same results, sighing to himself it was a negative for Eggman. He chaos controlled out of the base to tell Rouge the news.

"Eggman didnt kidnap Faker" He said to the ear piece.

"Great...that's another location to cross off the list..." Rouge responded not sounding to happy about the failed mission.

"I'm going back to that Island...Something just doesn't sit right with me" Shadow said.

"What do you mean?"

Shadow didn't respond, he just turned the ear off to get to Angel Island, he needed to have a talk with a certain red echidna. He looks back at the base, before chaos controlling away, this should at least give him some energy to head back to Miles' garage to where he could get some rest.

When he appeared on the Island he headed straight for the alter where the Master Emerald was kept, the closer he got the alter, he didn't see the echidna in his usual spot, No, Knuckles wasn't even anywhere near the emerald. "Either he went out to search on his own...or he's hiding something" Shadow thought as he narrowed his eyes, though it really wasn't his place to say anything...but seeing the Echidna had left his post, now...just make him more suspicious of Knuckles, he'll keep this detail in his mind. "CHAOS CONTROL!!" He said as he teleported off of the island.

Sonic gets out a groan as his legs for the first time, were actually killing him, his soreness had long faded at this point but after the examination he went through with the doctor, his body just started to feel weird he flops onto the bed, the huts weren't really house...like the ones out side of the tribe village, that had a more to offer, the huts only had two rooms, the main room for sleeping and a restroom, since the tribe share meals everyday, outside of the huts, same with bathing.

Knuckles hums as he flips Sonic over to see his face, "But let me at least help ease the pain"
