It was unreal. Such a beautiful city resting in midst of this white void. It was so cute, so pale. So... familiar. Looking at it from afar it stood still and small like a mere miniature city, as if someone painted it on this huge, white canvas. It was too easy to get lost in it and the memories it brought.
"So... What is it, then? Do you wish to stay? I won't force you to. It's just... the best option for you, really."
It was the eerie child that interrupted this fantasy. XAsriel huffed, facing the pecualiar, tiny creature again. They were as different as two "Frisks" could be, but... Did they really have to be as monochrome and pale as him? XAsriel's soul ached just looking at the child.
"I... I don't know. I don't really like this. I don't think it's right to walk amongst other 'Asriels', other 'Toriels' and other 'Asgores'. Didn't you say you know everything? Couldn't you just bring me to my family instead when they are somewhere out there?"Core sighed, his black eyes somehow getting emptier.
"I'm sorry. I usually could. But your creator made you in such a way that prevents me from knowing their exact location. It was pure luck that I finally met just one of you after all these years."
XAsriel's increasingly watery eyes strongly reflected the infinite white.
"How is that even possible?! He can just... hide us from someone omniscient like you?"
Core shook their strangely oversized head.
"It isn't. But your creator wasn't limited by what was possible and what wasn't. You should be glad that you are still alive despite him being... gone. The current events aren't the most favourable outcome, yet it could have been much worse. At least all of you are okay."XAsriel shuddered, shaking his head as if trying to shake off his weak state. He was an adult, wasn't he? He had to stay strong.
"Okay. But what you say is... They are somewhere out there? Somewhere in that multiverse? I can search for them. Some day I will find them."
Core frowned as they slowly stretched out their tiny hand. Irritated, XAsriel eventually took their hand into his much bigger one. They stayed still for a few seconds, staring at many things he couldn't see.
"... You can be a peacemaker of great aid to the multiverse, a great source of positivity. Yet... You will be miserable. Miserable, until one day you would finally find a familiar face. Or not. The chances aren't in your favor. Do you really want to choose the path of the peacemaker for a slim chance of seeing your family and friends again?"XAsriel tilted his head, glancing at the village in the distance. It felt like a mirage in a white desert.
"Do you always talk in riddles?"
He chuckled, sighing.
This was a choice, wasn't it? A pretty crucial one, too.
Though it really didn't feel like one to him. Staying forever in this hallucination of his home, trading his real family for entirely different copies of them... He couldn't do it. He could never."Peacemaker. I don't know what will expect me. But... I suppose bringing peace doesn't sound that bad, does it?"
XAsriel forced a smile, expecting a tough future. A future of wandering, searching and... causing peace, apparently?Peace between the two races, maintaining it was written into his very core, unbeknowst to him. Whether he wanted it or not, he was the dove that brought the peace.
An ugly dove of peace.

A large, monstrous roar split the bright sky of another timeline of Underswap in half. In the middle of a vast battlefield a black and white monster appeared, larger than any the humans have ever seen before. It had a vaguely flower-shaped face, a purple eye inside its mouth, tentacles, thorny tendrils and arms or legs. You could recognize all the singular parts, but the beast was like a giant, formless pile of limbs, no matter how long you looked at it, you couldn't make sense of its shape. It emerged out of nowhere and killed multiple human soldiers with a single swipe of a thorny tendril - The first human deaths of the war.
