Night terror, and a new face

"You'll just fail, over and over. Just give up. They'll die with you around them, guard. So just leave them."

The hyena woke panting, hand clenching his chest. He was sweating badly, yet he didn't feel hot. He whined. "Guard? What....what did that dream mean by guard? Who's going to die?" He whined. Red woke up, rubbing his eyes. He looked to the other, a concerned look on his face. "Hey...are you ok?" Red asked the other. The hyena looked to Red, shaking his head. Red sighed. He pulled him into a gentle hug. "It's ok...it was a nightmare, yea? You may need to talk to Thayne about that." Red said into the others ear. He sighed. "Ok...I'll talk to him." The hyena sighed. Red let a happy grunt out, releasing the other from the hug. Suddenly a knock was heard at the door. Speaking of Thayne, he opened the door. "Hey you two, come down and eat." Thayne said. He then closed the door, his footsteps going back downstairs. Red sighed. He got out if the bed, and so did the hyena. The two hurried down the stairs...well, more like the hyena fell down the stairs and Red was trying to hurry and catch him. Either way, they made there way to the inns cafeteria. They sat at the table the others were at. "So...Aki, mind telling us why Drago found you in Havelock's room instead of your own?" Thayne questioned, raising an eyebrow. The orca and wolf blush. "No reason. He invited me to sleep with him. That's all." Aki said quickly. Berius chuckled. "Damn. The wolf is already getting more action than you, huh~?" Berius teased. The hyena let a huff out at the dragons teasing. The others looked to the hyena. "You ok?" Drago asked. "Uh...yea just still a bit tired." The hyena replied. "If you say so." Drago muttered. Berius chuckled.

On the road, they were again. The head knight had left them off with a warning about the swap up ahead. At least that wouldn't be as bad as the bandits they had to kill last time...or well, the hyena had killed. "I wonder...what demon revived that hyena?" Tchort muttered. 'Maybe another great dragon?' Aki suggested. "No, there's only three of us great dragons. Me, Drago and..." Drago trailed off. 'Who?' Aki asked. "I-I'd rather not say. Anyway! It must be someone strong. Drago seemed to be even a bit scared of him after that colosium match he had against Havelock. I mean, black flames!? Being able to make a bubble of air stable enough to walk in?! Like, seriously!" Tchort said. Aki only sighed at the dragon. 'Whatever. Maybe we can ask him later. For now, we gotta get through this damn swamp.' Aki stated. "Right. I'll be in ready to help if needed. Oh and...I felt all of that last night!" Tchort huffed. Aki blushed. "Yea! That's right! Man, you're a real bottom, y'know?" Tchort added, making the wolf blush harder. Havelock looked over to the wolf, smirking. "Thinking about last night, lad~?" The orca asked. Somehow, Aki's face got even redder. Havelock just smiled a sly smile. "...maybe." Aki mumbled.

"So...you're thinking of trying to make up a spell so the others, and you, could see me?" Berius asked. 'Yep. I mean, it could work right? I mean, you are a powerful dragon, so if you make it up, and I say the words, maybe it could work!' The hyena suggested. Berius sighed. "Fine. We can give it a shot. But, later Ok? When we're safe and sound." Berius replied. The hyena smiled. 'Great!' He said.

A fucking giant plant monster. This was going to be hard. At least they had someone helping. A black bear with a blue flaming skull. Together, they all managed to take down the monster, but with a casualtie of Havelock. He was terribly injured, and the bear, revealing himself to be named Ruaden, picked the orca up, and lead them all to an abandon castle the bear lived in.

Everyone, especially Aki, were devastated. Sure, the orca would survive, but it was unknown when he would wake. Aki stayed by his bed the rest of the day, well more like in the bed with Havelock, snuggling him. Red and the others were all thinking of ways to quicken his healing. "Black flame healing." Berius suggested. 'Huh? Those can heal as well?' The hyena asked. "Yes, they reflect the casters intent. They can even change if the attack is thrown back at the caster." Berius informed. 'Huh...Ok let's try that.' The hyena mumbled. He made his way over to the comatose orca, and took in a breath...and exhaled. "Twe phywo dlao- Black Flame." He said. His palms were engulfed in the black flames, and he cautiously hovered them over the still healing wound. It healed....yet Havelock didn't wake. "Now we wait for him to wake up." Berius said. The hyena pulled his hands away, and shook his hands, the flames dissipating.

The next day, Aki was nowhere to be seen. The last place they looked was Havelock's room, where they found Aki wrapped in Havelock's arms, and vice versa. "Cute." Drago muttered. "Should we wake them?" Red asked. "Let them have their rest." Ruaden replied. "Oh! I have a spell for you guys, and the dragon inside me!" The hyena suddenly chimed in. He led them outside to the training grounds he had found yesterday. There, a circle with a bunch of ancient glyphs and runes etched into the dirt laid. "Wh...how did you...?" Drago asked, watching the hyena walk into the circles center. "You'll see soon. Now, this spell all only affect me. So...I hope this goes well, or I'll be cooked a hyena." He muttered. He took in a breath...and exhaled...it was time. "Wchert wasmel erwas plowqe moyisco thrywi blayck- Reveal!" They hyena yelped. His helmet suddenly flew off his head, and landed behind him...a black dragon appearing in front of the hyena. They're eyes met, both smiling. The others stood, surprised and Drago bewildered, mouth agape. Berius chuckled. He was still a bit see through, meaning he was most likely a ghost of some sort now, but he was still possessing the hyena.

"It's nice to finally get to talk to you in person, Lars." Berius said, chuckling.
