When morning came to the Wayne Manor, it was Alfred who first found Elisa sitting downstairs on the couch, speaking softly into the phone in her hand.

By the time everyone else was awake, she was still speaking on the phone and that's what Dick and Damian came across when they descended the stairs.

"No, I'm fine. It's okay, you don't have to come here." Elisa reassured Khael on the other end of the call. "I'm... capable of seeing after myself, you know that."

"You're still injured." Khael argued in response, attempting to convince her to let him come there. "You're in a house filled with people you don't know and your shoulder is not fully healed nor is the rest of your body, if you continue to shadow travel, your condition will only get worse. Lise... Let me come to you."

Dick watched as Elisa, small for a fifteen year old yet too withdrawn for a teenager, sighed into her phone, shifting as she took a second to respond. "You shouldn't, Khael. As much as I would... feel better seeing you, I'll be fine here. It doesn't seem like my guardian is the type to harm others but I've.... been wrong before. We all know that."

Damian wanted to stay longer but Dick pulled him away as Bruce came down the stairs and Elisa's head snapped up before quickly speaking into the phone.

"I have to go." Elisa spoke, her voice softer than Bruce had heard it before in the short time he'd known her. "Let's talk later, Tesoro." Bruce couldn't hear the reply on the other end. "....I love you too."

"Good morning." Bruce greeted Elisa and she nodded swiftly and greeted him in return before swiftly walking into the dining room.

"Ah, Miss Elisa. Finally ended your phone call?" Alfred greeted her, handing her a cup of coffee and she gave a strained smile, not used to him yet.

"Thank you." She sat next to Damian quietly and sipped at her coffee, making no attempts to add anything to it as she tucked her phone away.

"Who is Khael?" Damian asked abruptly, not liking that he had to fill in blanks on his new sister, and Dick covered his face in exasperation.

Elisa flinched at the question, startled eyes darting to him before clutching at her cup with two hands. "Ah..." She responded after a moment. "He's my.... significant other."

"From the camp you go to? I read a little about it in your file." Bruce remarked and Elisa nodded before slumping back.

"Yes... He's... like me." Elisa seemed almost relaxed talking about him.

They took that as orphaned, different. They took it as they must have been very familiar.

"Thank you for the coffee." Elisa pushed her chair back as she stood up before pushing it back in and letting Alfred take the cup from her.

She didn't want to talk about her boyfriend with them, she had already said too much. She didn't want to say more than that.

"Welcome to the family, Miss Elisa." Alfred spoke to her before she could flee, handing her a glass half filled with something white and the other half filled with red liquid.

Elisa blinked and she found a spoon in her other hand. "Panna Cotta..." She murmured, her mind flashing back to a time long gone.

They all watched invested as their new sister, detached and distant, softened considerably.

Elisa tentatively took the first bite and her eyes widened at how good it was. Panna Cotta was a fairly easy dessert to make but this was better than anything else. "....Thank you...." Elisa whispered before turning around, dessert still in hand and rushing off but the look on her face was one they hadn't seen.

Softness, Amazement and Fondness.

Elisa knew very well that the effects that the river Lethe had on them would never leave, they'd never fully remember what had happened before but Elisa was content in the knowledge that their mother loved them.

She remembered small things some times. How it felt when her mother ran her fingers through her hair, she remembered her mother's smile, she also remembered that she made Panna Cotta for their birthday once.

Tears slid down Elisa's cheeks as she clutched the now empty glass to her chest. Nothing had ever tasted so good before, nothing had ever reminded her of her mother so much before.

A knock sounded at her door and she wiped away her tears before moving to get up. "Come in."

Cass' head peaked out from the door and she smiled at Elisa. "Hi. Spend time with us." She invited her, holding out her hand.

Elisa stared at her for a few moments, uncertain. People went out of their way to avoid her at camps at times so she didn't understand why these people wanted her around so badly. "Um, the glass. Should it be taken downstairs."

Cass nodded but gently pulled her along and down the stairs. Cass placed the glass in the sink before pulling her into the living room and sitting on the couch next to her, sparking an uproar.

"Hey! How come you get to sit with her?!" Dick pouted in outrage, finding it unfair. Should he not get to sit with her?

"Found her first!" Cass retorted, sticking her tongue out before leaning into Elisa who stared at her with mild discomfort. Elisa wasn't used to affection coming from other parties.

Her father was mildly affectionate, mostly resorting to vocal affection rather than physical. Nico and Hazel were comfortable in their affection but Khael had been set in letting her know how much he cared for her whether through words or physical affection.

Elisa couldn't help the small laugh that came out of her as both parties turned to her as she covered her mouth, her shoulders shaking with laughter. "Hahaha."

Cass smiled at her before nudging her shoulders, wishing for her to be more comfortable with them.

"I'm sorry." Elisa let out, still laughing a bit before she brought her legs up her chest.

"It's alright." Jason let out, smiling a little before turning back to the movie they had decided to watch.

They were determined to open her heart and little by little it seemed to work for a bit. Especially with Alfred and now Cass.
