"How about you go kill yourself; since you can't do anything!" he yells sharply.

He couldn't control what he was doing; and tears were forming in his eyes.

THAT'S NOT WHAT I MEANT! NO- his brain yelled. He tried opening his mouth, but no sound came out.

Your face contorted into a look of horror, but a few seconds later you lowered your eyes.

"Maybe... you're right..." you trailed off.

You grabbed his polearm and put the sharp side against your neck...

Cyno jolted up from his bed, sitting up. Beads of sweat littered his back, and his eyes were blown wide. It was still pitch black outside; not even street lights were on. He shivered; the windows in the fairly priced apartment weren't quite as reinforced, allowing some of the chilling night wind to pass through.

What was that?! he thought, confused and frightened. His irregular breathing wasn't calming down

They wouldn't do such a thing, right?

Looking to the side, he realized you had left the bed. he noticed the faint glow emitting off the edges of the bathroom door, indicating you were occupying it.

He was about to relax once more when he heard a sharp scraping sound coming from the bathroom.

"Y/N?" he called out softly, "Are you alright?"

No response was heard, but he could hear shuffling of items, as if you were trying to hide something.

"--," you responded; clearly it was muffled speech.

Cyno was fully alert now, stiffening with every step as he neared the bathroom.

"Is it alright if I come in?" Cyno reluctantly asks, hoping he wouldn't have to. Maybe you'd just come out of the bathroom and tell him he was overreacting, like what you would usually do.

No response still. It was only followed by another scraping sound; softer this time. As if to hide the sound.

I'm going to probably regret this, Cyno thinks, forcing his hand near the doorknob and grabbing onto it. At this point, you would have heard the noise and either told him you were using it, or open the door yourself.

Cyno squinted to adjust to the bright light from the bathroom, but whatever you were doing seemed to shock even the General Mahamatra himself.
