"Come on, why does the stupid stylus have to stop working now?" You sighed in disbelief.

It was your second all-nighter of this month, and somehow your stylus decides to stop working the moment you blink. You also had to finish this as fast as possible; your client was waiting.

And most clients aren't patient.

Blinking languidly, you decide to charge the stylus and work with your fingers, your last resort. Unfortunately, due to your exhaustion, your finger kept slipping. You tried your best, but alas, the lines were shaky.

You seemed to not be the only one up. Light also was illuminated from down the hall, where Kaveh was working. However, you didn't want to bother him; he's been up at night more times in a row than you were, so he's probably on another level of exhaustion.

Stretching your cramped muscles, you got to work again, using smaller strokes of your finger to curve around the shape of the structure, trying to make the lines a little more thicker and firmer.

You were still on the sketch- nowhere close to coloring the prototype yet.

All of a sudden, you felt a hand softly on your back.

"You alright there?" A soft male voice was heard.

"Wha-"

Looking up, you spot none other than Kaveh, seemingly teleported from his studio to your room. His eyes were sunken and tired, and you suspect yours was no different.

"How did you get here?" you asked, your voice lighter and softer than it usually was, probably due to exhaustion and overwork as well as the fact it was pretty late in the night. Or early in the morning. You couldn't tell.

"I walked here, obviously," he let out a small, tired chuckle, "I knew you'd be up as well; both of us have to deal with pretty ruthless clients."

His eyes trailed down to your hand, and he noticed you didn't have your stylus with you.

"Stylus out of battery again?" he asked.

You merely nodded. Subconsciously, you laid your head on his outstretched arm, against the back of his hand, which made him nearly jump.

"I...I'm so tired... maybe I should take a bit of a break..." you mused, eyes burning from the screen you were drawing on.

"Go ahead..." Kaveh replied back, sitting down next to you to let you have better access to his shoulder.

"B-But I have to finish-"

"I do too. But we could both use a bit of a break. Want me to set a timer for you?" Kaveh suggested.

You considered it for a moment.

"Maybe- Maybe just this time, we can finally go to sleep. And wake up in the morning."

Kaveh seemed shocked for a bit, but smiled.

"Sure, anything you want. But... 'we'?"

"Yeah... both of us..."

You might have said something after that, but you couldn't process anymore before your exhaustion took over and you fell asleep.

Kaveh cradled you in his arms, laying you down on the bed in the room and tucking you in.

"Maybe I could too..."

"Just for tonight..."
