Disappearences

I followed Cam upstairs and he suggested I get cleaned up first. I agreed and went to my room and did just that. I had fresh scars on most of my body and I sighed. Just more to add to the list. I decided to put on clothes that would hide my scars. At first I wasn't worried about my scars. But that was when I had first came to Essence. Back then I only had scars on my shoulder, and back. Nobody has ever seen my back. My fur was thick so it hid my scars. Now my shoulder. That was fine for others to see in my human form. I had pulled on some capri's and was pulling on a shirt when I turned around seeing Blake. "Blake" I said and looked down. I could feel him staring at me and it made me squirm. I wasn't expecting him to be at my room. Lifting my head he was now in front of me and I stepped back slightly staring at him. His own eyes stared into mine for a moment then he looked me over and his eyes stopped at the one of the scars on my arms. I felt awkward like this. He lifted his hand and brushed it over one of the scars and I slightly flinched. He looked back at me his eyes suddenly softening and he said "I'm sorry Raven" I blinked and he brushed over another scar and I looked down saying "I..I'm sorry. I just didn't want...I was afraid that..." I trailed off and I shut my eyes trying to keep my voice even. Then I felt his arms around me. I tensed out of reaction and he whispered "You did what you thought would be best. You shouldn't apologize for anything. It was my fault that I made you leave and run into Axel's hands. I'm sorry I did that" I buried my face in his neck sniffling.

"I...I was so scared Blake." I whispered and he hugged me slightly tighter. "I promise to never do that again okay. I knew you had never released your ties with Cyan and I didn't want to push you into joining" he whispered back and I nodded my head against him then he moved back so he could see my face and wiped a stray tear away. I sniffed and then looked down and said "He won't stop. I know he won't" "Then I won't stop fighting for you" he replied and I smirked. My mate...wait what? I mean my alpha...umm...Blake was willing to fight for me? My wolf felt proud that he was but there was still the fact that he kissed me. "Blake...the night...the night you showed me my room. I know...I..." I trailed off looking down again and he hugged me again saying "I was a fool to do that to you. Raven...I really do care about you....I'd do anything for you" I closed my eyes hugging him back tightly. "I would never push you into doing something you don't like..."-"I want to join. I want to be...with you..." I said softly my heartbeat picking up quickly. "You do?" He asked holding me back from him. I stared at him for a moment and nodded saying "I've never felt so safe in my life till I was brought here. Everybody was so kind to me. Even if they barely knew me. You and everybody here have become like my family. Id do anything to protect you guys if I could. I lost my mom, dad and older brother. I'm tired of losing the ones I care about and you..." His lips crashed against mine suddenly and he picked me up twirling me around before letting me back on my feet.

I slightly stumbled a bit dazed and he chuckled saying "You have no idea how good it felt to hear you say that." I slightly smirked and he kissed me again then somebody cleared their throat. Him and me both looked towards the door and saw Keith. He was holding an envelope. And the expression on his face wasn't good either. "What happened?" I asked suddenly worried again. "Well...Blake should know that the annual meeting is coming up soon." He replied and Blake frowned saying "Forgot about that. We didn't go last time..."-"Keith what else aren't you saying?" I said cutting Blake off. Keith looked at Blake and Blake looked at me saying "Hold on" and went to the door and went down the hall to talk. I peeked out reading Keith's lips and heard him whisper that Cam had disappeared. My body went cold. I stepped in the hall saying "What?" They both looked back to me and I shook my head as Blake started walking back saying "Raven..." I stepped back saying "No..I just saw him. He helped me to my room...and..." I trailed off starting to panic. How can he just disappear? "We tracked his scent all the way to the border but that was it. It was like something picked him up" Keith said. My legs gave out and Blake caught me in his arms as I started to cry.

After a moment I stopped suddenly in thought and said "Was he by himself?" Keith nodded before saying "Was checking a strange scent out he said. But we never smelled anything besides his" I thought about it some more then looked at Blake saying "Axel took him. I know he did. Cam was a member of his pack too right?" "No other scent was around Raven" Keith answered and I shook my head standing up saying "You said it was like something picked him up right?" He nodded and I turned away going to my room getting my sketchbook out and said "I know for a fact Axel took him because if he really wanted to catch somebody without being detected he'd use a trap that would clearly "pick" you up." I started sketching and erasing my mind racing. "Raven?" Blake said and I said "Keith...what did you two find me in?" "You we're inside a net in the....air" he answered back and I looked up holding my sketch up saying "Axel has made his traps so they would be unnoticeable to anyone." "I don't understand... they'd have to cross the border to have the net placed properly" He replied. I shook my head and said "Not really..."

I looked at Blake saying "Who would you contact if you needed something really unnoticeable to anyone?" "...a...witch...but they keep to themselves" he answered. "Even from someone like Axel?" I asked and he frowned cursing and telling me to stay in my room kissing my forehead before telling Keith to follow him. I sighed. He was leaving me in the dark again.

What do you know...it's an update to this story. Sorry it's taken so long. I needed a break from it. But it's back in action now!
