"Y/n, there you are!" Puss said. "Hey," you replied back. "Where'd you get that from?" Kitty asked, pointing to the cloak, "No idea, I woke up with it on," you explained. "Did that thing happen again?"

"Yep."

-timeskip-

"You think I'll survive if I stab this on my eye," you asked while holding a stick. "No, you would not. Put the stick down," Puss told you. "Only one way to find out."

"Y/n!" Kitty took the stick from you. "I was only joking...jeez," you said. "Yeah, okay."

You rolled you eyes as you an idea popped in your head. "We should visit mama! It's been so long," you told Puss. "We should, she'd be very happy to see us."

"Who is she?" perrito asked. "Mama. She's our mama, Puss and I were raised by her in an orphanage," you explained. "So, you and Puss are siblings?"

"Yep. Puss, remember that time you hit kitty on the head with a guitar?" you chuckled lightly and Puss groaned in annoyence. Peritto gasped, "You hit her on the head with a guitar!?"

"Can we please change the subject! Like, remember when we were teenagers and I dared you to slam the door." Puss said. "Damn, I do...."

-le flashback-

"Hey, Y/n. Dare you to slam the door," teen Puss said with Humpty standing next to him. "Fine, praise me at my grave..." you said and walked away. "Y/n, your turn to do the dishes," mama said. "I don't wanna do it now."

You went into your room and slammed the door.

Instant regret.

You went and hid in the closet. "You think you can just slam my door?" Mama opened the closet door with a chancla in hand. "Mama, please. Puss dared me too," you said.

"Yeah..she hit me with the-- APPLE TREE!" you pushed Puss and kitty out the way and ran to the apple tree. You climbed up the tree to get an apple...but you fell to the ground. "Cabrona..." Puss chuckled. "Shut up--"

You stopped as you felt like you were being watched. You looked around and only saw for a split second a tall figure before it dissapeared. "Y/n, are you okay?" Kitty asked. "Yeah, I'm fine."

"Are you sure?" Perrito walked by you. "Don't worry, I'm fine," you smiled softly. "Now, let's go visit mama!" you got up from the floor.

-le timeskip-

"Finally! Perrito, this is where Puss, Kitty and I grew up," you said as you walked through the town. "Puss in boots and Y/n!" you heard the comandante yell as he ran toward you. "Hey! We don't wanna cause trouble!"

He stopped infront of you with a sad expression. "That's not it, I'm letting you two off the hook," he sighed. "It's about your mama..."

"What about her?" Puss asked. "She was...she was killed last night..." He told you two. "What..y-you're joking, right?" He stayed silent. "You're not."

"I'm sorry for your loss, Puss in boots and Y/n..."

"Do you know who did it?" you asked the comandante. "No yet, but we have seen that the killer was wearing a red cloak and black boots," he explained to you too. "Okay, thank you..." The comandante nodded and walked away.

"I'm gonna go for a walk..." you told the three. "Si, that's a good idea. Go clear your mind, you too Puss." Kitty said. "I just wanna be alone," you chocked on tears before walking away.

You sat in an alley, crying your heard out before seeing something bright land infront of you. "The map to the wishing star? I thought we destroyed it," you picked it up and got an idea. "I will bring you back, mama."

You rolled it up and put it in the pocket of the cloak. You got up but stopped when you heard a familiar whistle. "What do you want, lobo?" you asked. You felt two arms wrap around, "Don't do anything stupid."

"I'm truly sorry for your loss, senorita," Death said as you cried. "I hope you get better soon." and just like that he left.
