Chapter 10

Alan had put in for an early release and was waiting to see the parole board; he was hopeful that it would lead to an early release Cleo was still keeping it secret that she was going to visit Alan. MC had noticed that she had been acting odd over the past couple months. Everytime she questioned her about it she just brushed it off and said that everything was fine.

The coffee shop had been closed for a couple days while they had some upgrades done so MC and Jake had been spending some quality time together. Jake could see that something was bothering MC. He sat down next to her and put his arms around her.

Jake: What's up? And don't say everything is fine
MC: what can I say you know me so well it's just all this mess with Cleo it's really bothering me
Jake: You need to talk to her whatever it is am sure you can both work it out
MC: I've just got this feeling that she's been going to visit Alan
Jake: What makes you think that?
MC: I found this in the office at the coffee shop it's a visiting letter
Jake: I'm sure she's had her reasons for going to see him
MC: But why not just tell me instead of hiding it
Jake: maybe she was afraid of how you would act, you need to talk to her
MC: I guess you're right
Jake: I know I'm right

MC looked up at Jake and he had a grin on his face, she playfully smacked his arm knowing that he was right. As it was a nice day out Jake suggested going out for a walk to help clear MCs head. They got ready and headed out walking hand in hand on their walk. MC saw Cleo coming out of the shop holding a basket of muffins.

MC: What's Cleo doing in the shop? We don't reopen for another couple days
Jake: whatever she was doing she's been baking
MC: I need to talk to her now

Before Jake could reason with MC she walked over to Cleo and demanded answers from her.

MC: What the hell Cleo? What are you doing in the shop?
Cleo: Chill out MC I just wanted to use the kitchen don't worry everything is clean and tidy
MC: What's going on with you? You have been acting strange for months now
Cleo: I've already told you everything is fine
MC: Stop lying to me I know something is up, have you been visiting Alan?

Cleo looked shocked at what MC had said trying to search for an answer to her question MC had already worked it out.

MC: So you have been going to see him, why didn't you tell me?
Cleo: I didn't tell you because I knew you would blow up at me
MC: Cleo, we are friends if you wanted to go see him you could of just told me
Cleo: it's not that simple
MC: What do you mean? Just tell me
Cleo: Fine!! Yes I've been going to see Alan and he's really not that person he was he's changed
MC: Are you getting feelings for him?
Cleo: Yes, maybe I don't know okay look I need to go I will talk to you later

Before MC could get her sentence out Cleo had gotten into her car and drove away leaving MC standing there with a shocked expression on her face. Jake walked over and put his arms around MC holding her close to him. He took her by the hand, guiding her towards the path to the black lake. MC liked to sit by the lake; it was one of her favorite places.

Cleo had arrived at the mental institution for her visit with Alan, she kept going over all the things she said to MC. She knew she shouldn't have spoken to her the way she did but it was all getting too much for her. Cleo got out of the car and headed towards the entrance. She cleared security and was allowed to go sit down in the waiting area for Alan.

Her mind still going over what happened with MC everything that's happened MC was the one person who was there for her. She let her stay in her apartment when Alan had followed Cleo home. She had to make it up to MC. She had to explain everything to her rather than keeping it from her.

Her visit with Alan went really well. He told her about the possibility of getting early release Cleo couldn't help but smile at the thought of him getting out early. Was she really falling for him? Does he even feel the same way he did before all this happened?

Cleo's POV

Am I really falling for him? Does he still feel the same way about me? Have his feelings changed towards me given everything that has happened. I need time to try and process all of this, I can feel myself falling for him. He is so sweet and kind. How the hell am I going to tell MC that I've fallen for the guy that stalked me and sent me gifts.

I can't think about any of that right now. Alan needs me to be there for him, he told me he's still not decided if he's going to stay in duskwood. I think he's going to leave. He doesn't really have anybody else to be there for him.

Back at the lake Jake and MC were sitting by the lake making out, the warm sun beaming down on their skin. The only noises that could be heard were the birds singing and the flow of the water. Things started to get a little headed between them but they showed no signs of stopping.

MC moved to sit on Jake's lap straddling him wrapping her legs around his waist, as they kissed MC slowly grinded against Jake he could feel him getting hard every time she moved. MCs hands slid down Jake's body unzipping his trousers exposing his erection pulling down her underwear she lifted herself slightly and lowered herself onto Jake's erection.

After a couple of hours they both lay back on the grass catching their breath, MC interlaced their hands as they lay next to each other.

MC: Wow! I've never don't that before
Jake: that was definitely a first for me
MC: I really liked it, the danger of getting caught it really turned me on
Jake: I can't say I didn't notice

Jake lay looking at MC with a devilish grin on his face.

MC: Do you want to go again?
Jake: with you MC I always want to go again

They both started giggling as they rolled around on the grass kissing each other, while later MC and Jake had finished what they were doing. Brushing the grass from their clothes they made their way back to the apartment. They walked past the shop and noticed the lights were on, Jake approached the door pushing it slightly and it opened. Jake went in first, taking a look around he went into the back and saw Cleo making mini muffins.

Jake felt someone push past him to get a closer look at who was in the shop, when he turned round MC was standing in front of him.

MC: Cleo!! What the hell!! What are you doing?
Cleo: I own half of this business as well you know
MC: Fuck Cleo! What's going on
Cleo: fine! I went to see Alan, yes I've seen him more than once and yes I think I'm falling for him.

MC didn't say a word she turned round and walked out of the shop leaving Jake and Cleo behind.
