TWO WEEKS AGO

There was a knock at the front door of the Gilmore house. "Chris, what are you doing here?" Lorelai asked, after answering the door.

The frantic man ignored the woman and quickly spoke, "where's London?!"

Tears in his red eyes. "Chris, what's going on?"

"Just tell me where London is," he demanded, more tears threatening to spill.

Her face filled with concern, she answered. "she's upstairs in her room."

Her father kissed her forehead. "How was school?"

"Good, I got an A on my French test," she replied, pouring a bowl of cereal.

"That's great! Did they get you out of his class?"

London paused before answering, "yes, did you call grandfather to get the case started?"

"I called this morning, he made the lawyers you won't have to give your statement until you're ready."

"Did he tell them that I want us to settle out of court, I don't want to see him again?"

"Yes, no less than 5 million and he will never work in education again."

"Good," the brunette replied, shortly.

He goes over to his daughter and hugs her, rubbing her back. "It'll all be over soon."

TWO WEEKS AGO

"London Ivanna," Christopher whispered, opening the door

He got in bed next to her and wrapped his arm around his crying daughter.

"I'm sorry," she cried, her voice muffled by his chest.

"You have nothing to apologize for London."

"I didn't want to call you here but I just couldn't take it without you anymore."

"You are the love and light of my life, my main priority, there's nothing that could keep me away from you. Any time, any place, whenever you need me, I promise."

"I love you."

Tears ran from her father's eyes. "I love you too."

"I'm moving back here and we're going to live in Hartford."

"Really?" She smiled through her tears, looking up to him."

"I don't want to leave you again," he nodded.
