It had been two days since Cole had been turned into a ghost.

The Ninja informed Wu about Cole's new state, and Katarina tried to find a spell to undo the effects. Everyone had been by his side, comforting him and making sure he was alright.

The Bounty had been in the sky for a while. Misako had figured out the next clue, which was why they were heading to the Wailing Alps.

The Ninja, except Nya and Cole, had been outside the Bounty, practicing their Airjitzu. As far as the Ninja know, Nya was training to become the Water Ninja, and Katarina couldn't help but think this wasn't what Nya wanted to become.

Wu had given the Ninja new suits, which were embedded with deepstone. It was supposed to prevent them from turning into ghosts or getting possessed.

Kai complained about the suits being so incredibly heavy as he, Katarina, Jay and Zane practiced their new technique outside. He was also getting agitated about not being able to reach the flag that Ronin had generously put high above the group.

Ronin also had the joy of taunting them, saying things like, "Aww, just short. Like your temper, Kai." and "That wasn't Airjitzu, that was Failitzu."

Katarina had gotten so pissed off by his taunting that she intentionally sent a blast at him, which narrowingly missed him by a hair. She couldn't help but smirk that he screamed at the blast.

"WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT FOR?!" He yelled at her.

"Oh, shut up! You didn't get hit!" She shot back.

"BARELY!"

Meanwhile, Cole was sulking in his room. He hadn't been much of himself since the Ninjas' adventure to the haunted temple. How could he? He didn't even look like himself. He couldn't even bring himself to look at himself in the mirror.

Nya just so happened to past by his room, and he looked at his sulking state. He was lying down on his bed, a faraway look in his eyes.

"Don't feel like training?" She asked him.

"In case you haven't heard, I'm a ghost. And don't tell me we can fix this 'cause we can't." Cole said. He remembered the moment the Ninja got back to the shop and Katarina was trying her best to try to turn him back to normal with her magic.

But no matter how hard she tried, it didn't work.

"This is just...who I am now." He reached his arm out towards a teacup, and it passed through the solid material. He sighed angrily. "I don't feel anything anymore."

He can't feel anything anymore.

"Sensei told us our paths in life are never a straight line." Nya reminded the Earth Ninja. "Take me for instance, I thought I was always destined to be Samurai X, but now I'm training to become the Water Ninja, no matter how horribly awful I am at that."

She jumped onto his bed, striking a confident pose. "All I know is, ninja never quit!"

"But I'm not a ninja anymore. I'm a ghost." Cole said. He sat up on his bed.

"Then what do you do? I think that's something you have to answer on your own."

Kai walked by Cole's room, and saw his sister and friend inside. "Misako's about to debrief us about the next clue."

"We'll be there in a moment." Nya said.

"And sis, that color suits you well." Kai complimented her with a smile, and walked away.

Nya smiled proudly at herself. "Thanks. It's my favorite color."

"No, Nya. Thank you." She and Cole embraced each other in a hug. Her hands passed through his body and she frowned, while his touched her back.
