Venti x Reader

Y/N's Pov:

You went to the tavern in Mondstadt after a long day of doing your commissions. Once you got there you sat down and waited for Diluc's service. It took only a bit before Diluc came towards you.

"What would you like Y/N?"

"I would like the same as always Diluc"

He nods and goes to get some wolfhook juice then pours it in a cup. He passes it to you and you take a few sips before looking around. Suddenly you hear the door open and you look to see none other than Venti himself. He takes a seat next to you and looks at you with s grin.

"We meet again Y/N!"

"Of course we do, we both come here most of the time"

"Yeah you're right"

"Oh the bard? What would you like to drink?"

"I'll have some dandelion wine please!"

"And do you think you can even afford it this time?"

"Uhm.."

"I'll pay for it" You say taking your view off of Venti then to Diluc.

"Is that so?"

"Y/N you don't have to if you don't want to y'know.."

"But I DO want to, I insist"

"Okay then! Thank you!"

You smile as Diluc goes and get the dandelion wine then pours it in a cup and passes it to Venti. Venti sips the wine then looks at you.

"So Y/N, how are you on this fine evening?"

"I'm doing quite well Venti, and how about yourself?"

"Welll I'm doing pretty good now that you're here" he says leaning his face on his hand.

"Oh come on Venti let's not flirt now"

"Why not? Don't like it windblume?~"

Hearing him call you windblume made you flustered. He just smiled at you and chuckled then asked Diluc for another glass of dandelion wine. Oh boy, this was gonna be a long night. As he was drinking he was saying random things that you had to listen to. What caught you off guard was when he started complimenting you then basically flirting and sweet talking to you.

"Venti please not in front of people.."

"But whyy? I love hic youuu"

When you heard him say that you choked on your juice and started coughing. DILUC came over and pats your back. "Why don't you take him home so nothing drastic happens yeah?" He said before going back to serving his other customers. You let out a slight nod and paid for the drinks. You had to carry Venti out the tavern and back to your house. Once you both arrived you decided to just put him to bed and when you tried to leave he grabbed you arm.

"Y/N please don't leave..stayyy"

"Do I have to? I have the couch"

"Yesss you have to"

"But-"

"Nooo :("

"Fine"

You laid in bed next to Venti and decided to face the opposite side he was facing. You were about to fall asleep when you suddenly felt a pair of arms wrap around you. "I love you Y/N.." Venti said before falling asleep. After that those words repeated in your head until you finally fell asleep yourself.

You woke up and yawned, still feeling a bit sleepy. You looked to the side to see Venti beside you and still sleeping. Deciding to just get up you got out of bed and went to the kitchen to make you both breakfast. You got everything ready and put your apron on then started cooking. In the middle of cooking Venti walked in with his hair kind of messy.

"Y/N..? What happened?"

"You got drunk at the tavern again yesterday and I had to carry you here and put you to bed but when I tried to leave you told me to stay"

"I...I did..?"

"Yep"

"Oh, um"

There was an awkward silence. Finally Venti cleared his throat and spoke again.

"What else did I say?"

"Well you-" you stopped and remembered how he called you windblume and told you he loved you.

"Well?"

You stayed silent for a couple of seconds. When you heard Venti tapping his foot you just decided to tell him, how bad could it be? He probably didn't mean it because he was drunk anyway..but you WANTED him to mean it.

"You were calling me windblume...and.."

"And...?"

"You said you loved me"

Venti's mouth dropped and he started blushing. He then looked down, not really wanting to face you.

"This is just a question but..do you actually?"

"Well I-um-"

"You?"

Venti let out a sigh.

"Yes..I do Y/N"

Your heart fluttered, you did not expect him to actually love you. You stopped cooking and turned around to face him and smiled.

"I love you too Venti"

"Really..?"

"Yes, really"

"Wait so does that mean we're-"

"Yep, that's exactly what it means"

Venti smiled and came up to you to kiss your cheek. You giggled and you guys talked for a bit before you told him to go sit at the table so you could prepare the food. He nodded and sat down. When you were done preparing the food you both sat down and ate. For the rest of the day you both went to different places together and traveled. You were happy to spend your time with Venti, especially since you now know that he has feelings for you too.
