Chapter 3: "Kacchan!"

That was the day I met Storm Sutomi, my best friend! We were both 14 at the time but Storm had seemed so much more mature. However, when we actually got to know each other, Red seemed like more of a kid than me. Red is the nickname I gave them when we first met because of their bright red hair. Their quirk is really cool so I didn't think we would have much in common, but I later found that they were bullied too because people thought they had a villainous quirk. We had a lot more in common than I thought, the main similarity being that we were both bullied for our quirks. (Or lack thereof)

I better get back to the story now! Red offered to walk me home and I agreed because I wanted to ask more questions about their quirk. It's safe to say I had given up on being a hero at this point, but I was still fascinated by them. I began to hear a lot of commotion. Red and I stopped so that we could see what it was about. That's when I saw him... "Kacchan!" It was the villain that had attacked me earlier, he had escaped and he was now attacking Kacchan. Even though Kacchan had bullied and abandoned me, I still cared about him, no matter how hard I tried to hate him, I couldn't.

Before I could think, my body began to move. I was running straight for the villain and I couldn't stop myself. Before I knew it, I was mindlessly clawing at the villain to no avail. I shouted and yelled when suddenly a dark void completely enclosed them. "This must be the full potential of Red's quirk..." I backed up and slowly the darkness faded, only leaving Kacchan sitting there. The heroes ran to make sure he was ok and they reprimanded me and Red.

They told me I should never have run out like that because I was quirkless and weak. They told Storm that they can't be using their quirk for hero work without a license or they would be arrested for vigilantism. That's when it hit me... Vigilantism...
