New Kid In Town

On The Phone

Once we got home, I bolted up to my room, seeing my bed, desk and bookshelf all in place. I smile brightly.

Yes! They're finally here!

I quickly move over to the boxes and unpack what was left. I grab the now abandoned boxes and throw them into my closet.

I stand and look at my new room. I suddenly remember, Shawn gave me a piece of paper. I pull it out of my pocket and read it. 

It has a few different digits on it. I pull out my phone and enter the number. I type out a hi, it's Delta. And I send it. After a few seconds a reply came saying hey.

Next thing I knew my phone got blown up with notifications. I look though them to see one says, hey shorty. Its Aiden. Another says, hey! Its Nathan! And the last one says, hello, it's Luca.

I laugh. I guess Shawn gave them all my number. I quickly teat all three back with a hi. 

My phone buzzes and Nathan's name flashes over the screen. I pick it up. "Hello?" I ask. "Hey Delta! You okay?" He asks with concern. "w-why wouldn't I b-be?" I ask confused. "Shawn told us you were crying before. What happened?" He asks. "N-nothing really..I'm fine." I reply.

"Okay..I'm hanging up. Aiden is probably gonna call you." He says. "O-okay. B-bye." I reply and with that the line goes quiet. I pull my phone from my ear as soon as I do, it buzzes, Aiden's name flashes across the screen. I pick up, putting the phone to my ear.

"Shorty. What the hells wrong? And don't give me all that I'm fine bullshit." He says right off the bat. I giggle—yes, giggle. He goes quiet. "..what are ya gigglin' about?" He asks. "N-nothing..just—" I get cut off from giggling again. He sighs. "Oh my fricking hell! He's so cute!" I hear Nathan say in the background. I feel my cheeks heat up from embarrassment.

My phone buzzes. They're requesting a video call. I swipe it and Aiden's face is there, along with Nathans. I see Luca and Shawn there too. They looked like they're in a car or truck. 

"Hey, again!" Nathan called. I smiled. "H-hey." I reply. "Aww—my gosh! Look at him!" Nathan says. "Calm it down Nat." Shawn says. "But Shawn he's so fricking cute!" He says. My cheeks heat up from embarrassment again. There's a knock on my door, and my mom comes in. 

"Hey Del, do you mind running out to the store—oh! I'm so sorry for interrupting!" My mom says. "U-uh—it's fine mom." I say. "Hi Mrs. Grey!" Nathan calls. 

"Hello there sweetie. I'm so sorry for interrupting you boys. But at some point why don't you four come over here. It'd be nice to meet you all in person." Mom says. 

I hand my phone to her. "I'll be back." I say. "Wait Del, don't you need the GPS?" She asks. "No ma'am. I can find my way." I call back from the bottom of the stairs. I grab the keys and walk out the door.

I walk in to see my mom still on the phone. I walk over worried of what she could've told them. I walk over. "You're still on the phone?" I ask. "Hi Del." She says. "Hello!" I hear Nathan. I can hear Shawn telling him to calm down again. I laugh. "Here you go." Mom says handing the phone over to me.

"So, what'd she tell you?" I ask, walking up the stairs. "Nothing really, just gave us a tour." Aiden says. I laugh again.

"Anyway, I should really go now. See you tomorrow." I say. "Bye!" Nathan says. The others give their farewells too and then I hang up.

I go grab some clothes to change into and then I go grab a shower. Once I'm done in there I get dressed wearing an oversized shirt and a pair of shorts. I don't really like this shirt though..considering that it swallowed me and it made me look even smaller then I was.

I walk over to my bed and lay down on it. Deciding to skip dinner. 

Soon, I drift off to sleep.
