New Kid In Town

Missing

"Who's back?" I hear Luca ask.

"My father. H-he's b-ba-back.." I stutter, shaking uncontrollably. Aiden pulls me against him tightly. I've never brought him up. Neither has mom. Not to them.

"What'd he do. To you and your mom." Shawn said more than he asked. "H-he.." I stutter not being able to talk. I reach into my pocket, still shaking.

I text it to him. He pulls his phone out and reads it. "I'll kill him." He says in a deep unrecognizable voice, with red eyes.

Nathan and Luca grab his phone and read over it. They look equally pissed as Luca hands the phone to Aiden. His eyes flash red as he clenches his jaw, baring a mouth full of sharp animal teeth, wolf teeth. 

Shawn gets his phone back as Aiden picks me up bridal style. I nuzzle my face into his chest, still sobbing. 

"Luca. Take him inside. Stay here." Shawn commands. Aiden hands me over to someone else. I take in Luca's scent. 

"But—" Luca tries. "Stay here." Shawn growls. I feel Luca flinch. He nods. I look over to see Aiden, Nathan and Shawn gone. I feel myself moving, and then I hear a door close.

When I look up again, we're in my room. Luca walks over to the bed and lays me down on it. He then lays down with me. "I'm s-sorry.." I whimper as I grip onto his shirt. "For what aimer?" He asks softly. 

"Y-you have to s-stay here with m-me.." I say, still crying and shaking. "I like being with you." He says. He starts rubbing my back with one hand and stroking my hair with another. I lean towards his touch.

"I love y-you." I whispered. I looked up, into his eyes. He was wide eyed and just shocked all together. "I love you too aimer.." He replied and leaned down, connecting our lips. After a few minutes, he broke it and I laid my head down against his chest.

After a few minutes of just us laying there, I drifted into the darkness of sleep.

I feel movement around me. I open my eyes to see Nathan laying beside me and Shawn holding Luca. I hear him say, "I'm sorry love..I didn't mean to yell at you.." There's definitely guilt liaised in his voice. 

"I know, it's alright." I hear Luca mutter. 

He's definitely upset.

"Morning puppy." Nathan says as he realizes I'm awake. "Did you find mom..?" I ask, still groggy from waking up. His face showed the answer completely. I feel tears welling up again.

 I quickly get up from the bed and walk into the bathroom, closing the door. I feel my phone buzz. I reach into my back pocket and pull it out. Mom flashes across the screen.

I quickly pick it up as I open the bathroom door. 

"Mom?" I say. The guys stop and look at me. "Sweetheart." I hear a raspy voice come over the phone. "Mom, where are you?" I ask hurriedly. 

"..I can't tell you that. What I can say is I love you very much. And I always will—" The phone cuts off. "Mom?" I ask. No reply. I quickly go to the find my phone app. Maybe I ca trace the call.

I pulled it up and it showed her to be about 35 minutes away. Near a road called Sheak's Bv. I turn to the guys. I know where she is" I say as I quickly run out of my room, down the stairs and out the door.

I turn to see them right behind me. Shawn unlocks the truck and we all get in, this time me in the front passenger seat. 

We make our way down the road, me giving directions and Shawn speeding as much as he can. We get there within 27 minutes. 

We get out to come faced to face with a very run down and creepy looking house. "Stay behind me. All of you." Shawn says. We do as told. Though, I'm right against his back.

We walk into the house slowly. I hear a scream from below us.

Mom!? The basement! She has to be in the basement!

Shawn takes off toward the noise, all of us close behind. We burst through the door to see my father with a crowbar, hitting my moms legs.

My eyes turn a scarlet red again, the haze of it clear in my vision. Suddenly I hear a crack come from my bones as I turn into a white furred beast. I pounce on my father, taking him down. 

I feel arms around me, holding me before I can do anything else. I bark and growl from being held. Not being able to give the old man what he deserves. I'm back in my human form. 

"She never did anything to deserve this! I never did! How dare you lay your hands on her! How dare you hurt her!" I yell, not actually recognizing my own voice. I look down at the old man, as he looked back up to me with terror in his eyes.

"You monster!" He yelled, terrified. "What does that make you!?" I growl right back.

The arms around me tighten as I try to lung forward again. "Delta!" Nathan calls. "You need to calm down!" He says.

Red still covers my vision as I look at the man that put us through so much. I just get angrier and angrier.
