"No man mummy. A suh up yah full a day time ? Ppl nuh cook a dem yaad again?" I ask while looking around taking a seat on the bar stool.

When me seh up yah pack me mean up yah PACK. People like ants.

"Me dear. Me nuh mind mek dem come done dem money." She says laughing while serving a cup of soup.

"Gimme one a dem soup deh nuh. From mawning me nuh eat nth." I say looking at the time.

"Kalissa. Yuh try nuh mek Emhal hear yaah seh dem summo yah enuh. Me tyad fi tell yuh before yuh do anything yuh muss eat inna the mornings and tek the pill dem weh the people dem give yuh." She says handing me a cup of soup.

"Thanks." I say taking it from her. "Mommy you knw me cyah eat as me wake. It sick me stomach worst the morning sickness. A kill dat ago kill me." I say taking a sip.

Soup nice badddd. One ting wid my mada. When she cook she nuh cook play play pot.

"Dat a true from yuh likkle bit a suh yuh tan but memba Anuh u alone now suh atleast sip pon likkle tea.  Me knw Emhal love him tea suh him muss start bruk yuh inna it aready."

I hiss my teeth "neva see a man fi drink tea suh yet"

"Cinnamon leaf" we both say at the same time then bust out laughing.

"Me seh!. Me soon fava cinnamon leaf. When it mek tea it nice though suh me nuh too seh nth bout it." I say taking the last sip of my soup

Hungry did a kill yuh

"Yes me love. If yuh nuh knw seh Emhal love tea, especially cinnamon leaf tea then yuh nuh knw Emhal."

"Jennifa sell me a sprecial." Drunking quacko orders while slapping down the money on the counter.

It obvious seh him already drunk and is jus 2:00 devn touch late afternoon yet.

"Quacko. How much time me fi tell yuh seh when yuh come a me place yuh nuffi come knock it dung and yuh muss seh plz ?? Me naah sell yuh no more rum gwaan dung guh bathe and sleep. Can bet yuh devn brush teeth from mawnin as yuh wake yuh come order special. Gwaan dung man" she tells him while wiping off the counter.

"Me -hiccup- neva t-tell yuh seh -hiccup- me waah sleep." He says while staggering.

"Yuh don't have to tell me dat. Yuh need fi guh cool off. Jimmy carry dah man yah go outta door cz me naah sell him no more rum." She says calling the 'security guard' of the community.

Only reason why we call him that is because him big and thick and always a behave like a security.

"Anyways. Mommy me tired me ago lyd." I say preparing to get up.

"As yuh come suh ? A sleep yuh come dung yah fi sleep ? Nuh bed nuh deh a yuh yaad ? Tan out yah wid me likkle bit man."

"Mommy" I whined.

Me waah lyd enuh.

"Yuh cyah jus a sleep sleep suh kalissa the pickney will come lazy and yuh have complications. Yaffi active gwaan guh sell inna the bar." She says walking away to share a food.

"Look how much people pack up ova the bar." I say just thinking about the back and forth movements that I'd have to make.

"Dats why me sen yuh ova there. Exercise is good. Me waah knw if a suh Emhal have yuh up deh a sleep out the bed." She says then goes to ask the person what they wanted.

With my heart heavy and my face screwed I dragged myself to the bar area and starting taking orders and serving.

It was now 6pm and tired was an understatement. If me did Eva knw seh a work mummy call me up yah fi work me out me wouldn't bada come.

I finally got to take a shower and now I was eating.

As me done me a lef me naah tan another second.

"Foodie."

I look up and see no other than my baby daddy

"A weh yaah do yah." I say smiling while walking to the kitchen to put down the plate.

"Weh yaah question me fah ? When yuh guh nuhweh me a question yuh ?" He says while hugging me from behind.

"Well excuse me. Sorry fi a question yuh papa."

"Yuh ready ?" He asks with his face in the crook of my neck

Yuh knw weh dat mean enuh

"Yea. Me ago tek up me bag and tell mommy me a go weh." I tell him walking to my room to get my bag.

"Mommy me a guh weh now." I tell her with half my body through the door cz me neva waah guh out deh and she find work gimme.

"Alright nyam and lef."

I hiss my teeth while laughing.
"When me reach me ago call yuh. Goodnight love you and plz lock up at a reasonable time" I tell her while releasing her from a hug.

"Alright mama Sheryl." She say calling me by her mothers name.

"Me ready." I say to emhal and we walk out and into his car.

After about 20 minutes we were home and i instantly went for the bed.

"Ughhhh" I groan with my face buried in the pillow.

"Yuh tired ?" He asked while setting up his Ps5.

"Yesss. Mommy work me out today. Me naah guh back up deh." I say getting upset because I'm remembering all the walking I had to do.

Emhal sat there laughing at me while starting his game.

My mind drifted from our little convo to his birthday celebration next week. His birthday is the 1st of October which is a Saturday. His party would be on the Friday then another surprise on his birthday.

Excited is an understatement to how I feel and it's his birthday so just imagine.

I arranged a spa day and a few days at a hotel for mommy With a plus 1 ticket so she could invite anyone she like to keep her company.

Giving her that choice cz the lady nuh muss waah me backa behind her.

Different from dat.... All I know is me cyah wait til Friday. Today is the 27th and the days are snail crawling. That's how slow it felt but I knew I only felt that way because I was watching the days.

Anxiousness ago kill me but me ago try me best fi just keep the secret fi a few more days.

Safe to say everything I have planned is in motion and ready to be executed. I'm happy It isn't a flop but me devn ago seh dat yet cz me nuh waah jinx it.

"You good b ?"

"Yea me good. What time yah come off ?" I ask while putting the covers over my body.

"Me soon fwd mn"

"Ok."

Hey guys I know some of you may have noticed I haven't been as consistent. Truth is I've not been feeling as hyper and I'm behind on my skl work. Everyone has their days and I just need a few to cope and get out of this mental state of mind. Me happy unuh nuh cuss me when me post wah day 😂. As you can see I started posting a couple days ago I've been feeling a little better andddddd I've been working on a new book.

Won't be posting any chapters of that until I'm finished with this one which is soon. Spoiler alert😂😂😂 yes this book will soon come to and end. It had to happen suh unuh plz dohh kill me.

I'll start my weekly shout outs when I'm back to 100%
