I awoke on a couch to the smell of food. I get up, my feet only separated from cold tile by a thin layer of fabric, my socks.

I had some missed calls on my mobile and like, a million unread messages.

All from Jacob and Sam. I smiled and laugh quietly at the goofs.

I stretch some, then wander around. I walk up some stairs, stopping to giggle at the graduation caps. I knew they were vampires, but it was funny.

I peak around the railing. A bunch of doors.

"There's food," a voice startled me. I turn swiftly. "Oh, morning Jasper. Sorry for snooping," I sheepishly apologize. He smiles gently. "It's breakfast time," he repeats, pulling me by the wrist without a response. As we cross the threshold of the kitchen, I start to resist. "I-I wouldn't want to intrude on your family's mealtime. I was just planning on going home-" "nonsense! We've all already eaten. We're very early risers, didn't want to disturb you and I definitely don't want to send you home on an empty stomach!" A lady hushes me.

"Oh, I'm sorry. You guys could have woken me. I'm unsightly in my sleep," I nervously rock from foot to foot. I'm not good with these kind of situations.

These poor strangers had to see my grotesque sleeping habits.

I think to myself.

"It's fine. Seriously. You looked like you were resting well in any case. We didn't want to make you cranky," Edward teases. Jasper's hand trailed up my arm, my rocking slowing to a stop at his action. His gesture of leading me became slightly more personal once his hand settled it's roaming on my lower back. "You're fine. Not a bother at all," Jasper assured.

I felt more compliant to him. He sat me at the counter, letting The motherly figure serve me. French toast, eggs, and bacon.

"My name is Esme, by the way. Would you like Tea or coffee?" Esme asked. "Oh definitely coffee," I smile at her.

I start eating. Damn! This French toast is a piece of art!

Edward snickered at something.

Can a bitch eat in piece smh >:(
I know, I eat like a homeless person, but leave me be, ass >:(

Edward suppressed another giggle.
Seriously what is his problem!?

I just ate my food, ignoring the persistently annoying Edward. Esme set a mug down in front of me. "Careful, still hot," she reminded. "Esme, I would just like to say, this food.. is indescribable. It's just— so good," I scrunch my nose and grin. I can see her eyes light up. That's adorable.

"Thank you," she smiles gratefully. I blew lightly into the mug, then sipping carefully.

"So, anything happening?" Alice asked. "No. I mean, not really. My mother, however, is coming into town soon..." my voice is quiet at the mention of my mother.

I hate my parents. It's mentionable that I don't hate-hate people often. I don't really hate anyone... unless it's my parents. My mother— damn the woman— is a goddess. Not the good kind.

My dad is a reaper... specifically the big boss. Death itself. He's too busy to be in my life. I've never met him.

My "aunt" is actually a spirit who made a deal with my Paternal uncle. My uncle was the only one who had sense to care about my well-being. Ironic, right? A creature rumored to be incapable of sympathy taking pity on his baby niece.

I love my uncle. He's humorous.

"Oh... my... god..." Edward mutter. I look him in the eye.

Fuck. He's psychic.

"I need to take a walk. Morning thing. Edward... wanna come with me?" Unblinkingly, I stare into the pits of Edward's soul. Say yes. Say yes or I swear to mother-

"Uh- yeah- sure, yes. I know a good trail," I could feel his nervousness radiating. I hop off the barstool and nod for Edward to lead the way.

After awhile, we were on a cliff, away from the Cullen home.

"You can't tell them," I tell him. "And why not? It's clear you know about us," he asked. "That I do. I just don't think they'd trust me if they knew I was death's daughter. They'd likely think I'll prey on the humanity of their souls," I explain. "Human? Hardly," Edward scoffed.

"You still have a soul. Your soul is the most precious thing you could own. There are two souls far more precious than any other; that of a child and that of the ageless. Just because you're undead, doesn't make your souls any less precious," I explain. I can sense his confusion. "You're a Vampire. How could you not believe in a demon deal? Selling souls? Gambling your life source?" I asked, humored by his lack of knowledge. "Well, I never had to question it. All I knew was my existence," he says. "Well, what you Cullens and I have, where we are... it's fine- better than fine. It's perfect," I almost plead. "You're wrong. Trackers... we smelled them on you and now they are worried. They want to tell you, but they think you're human. They think they would get in trouble with the Volturi," he states.

"The vampire dictators?" I tilt my head. "Yeah. Kind of. They're kind of a self proclaimed Vampire government. They like Vampires who have abilities. Like me," he says. "Oh... you know I can block you out, right? I just didn't think I needed to," I tell him. "Please don't," he hastily replied.

"It makes me feel better to be able to hear thoughts. And your thoughts as well," he stated. I give him a small grin. "Stop worrying, I wasn't planning on it," I giggle. He smirks. "C'mere," he holds his hand out. I raise an eyebrow.

"I don't bite. I promise," he waved his hand inward, gesturing me forward. I grab his hand. He pulls me forth and lifts me onto his back. "Hold on, little Koala," he gripped my thighs. I wrapped my arms and legs around him. He started running. "Keep your eyes open. I want you to see this," he told me, sensing that I closed my eyes. I see the world from a different view.

From his view.

And for a moment, the pressure on my shoulders dissipated. I hug closer to Edward, though craning my neck to look at all he's showing me. He climbs into a tree, higher and higher.

I'm speechless for a moment. He shifted me, now letting me hug his front. "This... this is beautiful," he held me close with an arm under my thighs and and one around my back.

"It is," he says, though his eyes don't stray from me. "Thank you for showing this to me," I tell him, finally looking at him, in his eyes. "Yeah, no problem. Let's go," he says, shifting me back to his back.

I hug tight and he jumps. "Remember, keep those beautiful eyes open, little Koala,"

Everything he's shown me... it's the epitome of beauty.

(Fuck Bella and her "spider monkey" status 😤Koalas are cuter)
