"Well, with that settled, I do believe it's time for a game," Carlisle smirks.
"Okay. What're we playing?" I asked. The family all share smirks.
"How good are you at baseball?" Edward wraps an arm around my shoulders. "Sweet heart I've been swinging a scythe since before I could walk. And running? My uncle taught me how to chase souls faster than you," I place a hand on my hip, turning out of his grasp. "Who is this "uncle" you keep mentioning?" Emmett asked.
"The horseman of war," I answer nonchalantly. They all stand still for a moment, gawking. "Oh, come on! I said my dad was death, how could you not realize I meant the four horseman?" I ask, bewildered.
"Well it is slightly startling to think we weren't the only hell-bound creatures crawling the earth in the entirety of the centuries I've been around," Carlisle rubs his chin. I feel saddened at his words, the taste of which was bitter to swallow.
"Oh, darling... do you truly believe yourself to be condemned for an existence you've not chosen for yourself?" I ask him, sad eyes and sincerity across my face, my uncle's teachings showing in my voice.
From a young age, he's taught me to be proper, not exactly "ladylike", just proper. Though a being of malice and maniacal intention, he's non-discriminative. I was raised with morals and values of a reaper, the grey area of all beings.
"Y/n... I've... killed many innocents. I have done heinous things. To think I'm not condemned would deem me a fool," he grabs my two hands in his, barely willing himself to look in my eyes.
I raise one hand to his cheek, making him look me in the eyes. He looked into mine helplessly.
"Darling, you are here, you have done these "heinous" things all for reason. If judgement wasn't flexible, the entirety of mankind would be damned. And yet paradise exists. Besides, you've befriended the Princess of death," I say the last sentence smugly. He inhales in a lack of patience, not truly believing me. I tuck his loose blonde tresses behind his ear, getting an even better look at his amber colored windows which reflected his beautiful soul. He had a slight pout, making me chuckle lightly.
"Let me see..." I hold the back of his palm, using my other hand to trace his palm. "Hm... this one is long, with a single break. A fulfilled life. And these two. They cross, but never break. You are loved and love others. Your happy, complete. But not a single bad line," I smile warmly.
His cold hand brings my chin up, once again needing eye contact. Behind his confident smile, his eyes show want and helpless need.
"Well, we'd better get going, yes? I need to stop by my home beforehand," I leave his touch, walking over to Edward, he seemed to snap from his daze, looking away from Carlisle and dropping his tense expression. "Well?" I asked.
"Everyone, let's load up, get this show on the road. I'll go and get Bella, and stop by y/n's," Edward gets everyone out of whatever daze they were in.

"Jasper, I can feel your eyes. If you've got something to say, say it," Carlisle's piercing eyes flicker to the rear view mirror. Jasper doesn't say anything, looking away at last.
He can feel Carlisle still looking in the rear view at him. "I have nothing to say... do you have something to tell us?" Jasper glared at the reflection of Carlisle's eyes. Alice and Esme glance at each other.
"We'll speak later. For now, let's enjoy our day. Agreed?" Carlisle offered. Jasper huffs, but accepts nonetheless. "Glad we could reach an understanding," Carlisle muttered, knowing Jasper could hear.

Emmett had this cheeky grin. It wasn't unusual that he grinned, but this smile had something behind it. Rosalie felt slightly annoyed at her lover's mysterious grin.
"Emmett, what is that smile for?" She asked, slightly snipping at him. "Oh, nothing... just that you don't hate someone that you thought was human," Emmett smugly told her. "She's not human," Rosalie argued. "But she's got human blood," Emmett side-eyed her.
Rosalie came to a conclusion. "That's why we didn't figure her out. She smells human!" Rosalie figures. "I wonder what a reaper smells like," Emmett wonders aloud.

Y/n hated Bella's soul. See, souls give off an aura, or scent. And Bella smelt of sweaty gym socks and manure. Souls reflected their vessel. And damn, that soul stank was stanky.
They finally got to her house.
Park at the curb, do not get out.
She was sure Edward heard her thoughts of needing relief from Bella's soul stank.
Edward pulled to the curb, gliding easily. Y/n quite literally leapt from the car.
HOO LAWRDY! FRESH AIR, HOW IVE MISSED YOU!
She heard Edward lightly snicker, much to Bella's confusion.
But when y/n had stood up fully to see a red mustang in her driveway, an eerie feeling set in. Edward sensed this. "Edward, stay in the car," she said, hearing him almost open the door. He understood and closed the door.
Y/n wrung her hands together, nervously approaching her front door. She opened the door.
"Ah! There's my beloved niece!" War approached with his arms wide. Y/n gasped happily, running into his arms and embracing him. "Uncle War! I thought you were spiritfaring for a while," y/n said. "Yeah I had a friend fill in for the time being... uh, nugget... your mom and pops are, uh, fighting again. So please be careful..." War, standing at a whopping 6'7", lowered to y/n's level.
"The last time they fought, I almost got lost in the Styx river," she dishearteningly. "Hey, it's okay, I'll keep you safe! I'm on topside duty until they stop, okay?" He raises my chin.
"But please... don't do something that would-... make me have to reap your soul... I don't think I'd be able to take that, nugget... and I've started wars and fought my own brothers, but losing you? Having to reap you? I couldn't do that," War, the horseman who has devastated entire continents, had tears in his eyes. Y/n had tears on her cheeks and bittersweet smile on her face. "My dad is such a piece of shit," she laughed through a sob.
Anytime her parents got into a fight, her dad wanted to hold something over her mom's head. Usually the mortality of the things she's had an affinity for. Y/n wasn't immortal yet. She gains immortality when she's at growth maturity, 18.
"Hey, in a couple years, nothing he does will affect you," War grinned, kissing her forehead. "Alright. I've got to get going," she wipes her eyes and pulls from her uncle's arms. "Ah, yes, that game with those vampires you seem so fond of," War teases. Y/n blushed. "Shut up, uncle. We're all just friends. And besides, they already have mates," y/n crossed her arms. "Ya know, none of what you said denies that you like them," War poked her side lightly, enjoying teasing his niece.
Y/n sighed and rolled her eyes. "Whatever," she goes to her room.
War chuckles to himself.
"She's such a teenager..."
