(Ok so everyone the suit above is Artemis's suit oki? Plus, it's without the bow and arrow, and there is a side pocket for a gun the image does not belong to me, I found it on Pinterest! Disclaimer: I don't own Marvel only my own.)

(Hello everyone, sorry I didn't update in a while I was busy:( Here is another chapter!:) I'll try to update more often)

Artemis POV

Crying. Screams. Blood everywhere. Pain. Pain. I want it to stop. A man's face is looming over me. Rumlow. "What do you want?", I croak out. "I want you to be a soldier."

"I am one."

He smirked. "Indeed."

And then, the memory machine sparked. I screamed in pure agony. Writhing in pain, crying, begging, and yet it still continued. I saw my life flash between my eyes. Someone, no my mother, laughing and my family cooing over me. Stop. Make it stop.

"Make it STOP"

My eyes flew open. I sat up gasping, looking around. To my horror, I saw many faces around me, looking at me, some with concern and pity, while some with sympathy. Whirling my head around, my long blonde locks flying, I saw an IV strapped to me. No, they found me. However, if it was indeed HYDRA, why would they look at me like that? Alright, time to play the innocent, meek girl. "W-where am I-I? Who a-are yo-u-u?", I stammered.

"You are in the Avengers Tower", the woman with the black suit and red hair gently answered me. I sucked in a breath. Avengers Tower? Then that means... They are the Avengers! Oh god, no no no, please no. These were supposed to be my following targets. My breathing grew more ragged and panicked. And then I collapsed.

Bruce POV

I checked the IV the moment she collapsed—poor girl. "Alright big guy, what's the report?", asked Tony. "Well, for one thing, she is very malnourished and has a broken rib, many bruises, and scars. It seems like HYDRA didn't exactly give her a 5-star hotel.", I replied. "Oh wow, did Bruce Banner just crack a joke?", he chuckled. I just blushed. "There's something off about her. It's like... some great power is inside her.", said Thor while frowning.

"What do you mean point break?", asked Tony. "What I mean is that she gives this aura. It might be noticeable to you mortals, but I can feel it just fine." Tony hummed in response. "Well maybe you all should leave, she seemed pretty startled and frightened when she woke up. Wondered what she meant by 'make it stop' though.", I suggested. "She could have meant anything", replied Natasha. Everyone agreed thinking about it.

"Well I'm off, I have some paperwork old pirate man wants me to do", said Bucky, rolling his eyes.

Everyone chuckled and grinned. They all left, except Bruce. Thor patted him on the back smiling.

It had been a few hours when the door to the lab suddenly opened. Looking up, to his surprise he saw Loki standing there. After some seconds of silence, he finally broke it. "Sooo", he started awkwardly, while internally cringing, "Do you need anything or..?"

Loki simply shook his head. Some minutes later he surprisingly talked to me, "I wouldn't put iodine if I were you. It won't do anything to that injury. It has some special chemicals in it. Bismuth I think. It's really hard to locate it in small quantities. (idk if that's true or not I just made it up) Try adding a mixture of chlorine and sulfur. It might work". I nodded, seeing as his explanation made sense. I tried it and to my astonishment, it worked! The injury immediately looked better and the girl even looked more at peace than troubled. I looked up and thanked him. "No problem he replied.", he replied.

"Umm, seeing that you know much about science, maybe you want to help around the lab?", I asked. To my shock, he agreed. Maybe he's not that bad.
