CHAPTER 5:
Full Moon
The full moon never had much effect on Eli Hale. He's used to sleep his nights away, go to school, watch a movie or two with Alice maybe. There are usually no glowing eyes, fangs or claws, ever. And it doesn't matter how many times his Dad tells him it will come eventually... He isn't all too excited about that. He likes it this way. Yet... However way Eli thought this full moon was going to play out, it didn't. Surprisingly, in the morning, he doesn't wake up in his room or in the woods, even thought he would much rather wake up in one of those places, because as soon as he opens his eyes, he's met with a very angry man staring down at him, the arms crossed over his chest.
"Sheriff."
"Eli."
"Good morning?"
"Can I know what the hell are you doing at this time in the morning in my granddaughter's room!?" Noah wonders. The implications in is words scare Eli the most, but it's the tone that wakes up Alice in a second. She sits up straight in her bed, her eyes looking around in an urgent manner, speeding to find out what's happening. When she glances over to the ground, there's Eli. "Should I call her Dad? Stiles is from the FBI, are you aware of that, Eli? Are you?"
"What is going on?" Ali frowns at the scene. What the hell.
"Sir, I swear I don't know how I got here." Eli pleads in the most formal way possible, his eyes shifting to the brunette hoping for some help. "I must have been sleep walking, I don't know, I swear I..."
"Oh, yes, let's blame it on the supernatural, right?" He scoffs.
Alice throws the blankets away from her body, her mind still trying to process what's happening in her room at 7am in the morning. "Pops, come on. It's not that big of a deal."
"It's not..." Noah can't finish repeating her words, the audacity they carry makes him almost speachless. "There is a boy sleeping in your room, Alice!"
"Oh, please! Do you think Melissa bought two beds so we could take turns sleeping in Scott's room? Besides, it's Eli! Not some stranger,"
The Sheriff listens to her words, his shoulders relaxing only slightly. Sure, it's not some stranger. But it's still a boy, a werewolf boy that he happens to know has had a crush on his granddaughter for years now. Yes, a very innocent crush, but still. He knows the type, he lived with one.
"Can I get up now?" Eli wonders, voice low as to not disturb the man that owns a gun.
"Have a bath and get to school." Noah points at the two teenagers. "One at a time,"
"Pops!" Alice cringes at his words, her cheeks heating up at the implication. So, as soon as Noah leaves the room – the door left wide open – she throws a pillow at her friend, to mask her own embarrassment. "How did you get into my room, you creep?"
