One day as Alexis is walking with Jason and Kim the three see a cloud car crash against a tree with two bears.
"No Secret Bear. I don't think it was the Cloud-mobile's fault. Hi. I'm Friend Bear and this is Secret Bear. We're Care Bears." A pink bear says happily as the other whispers into her ear.
"What do you want?" Jason asks annoyedly.
"Only to be your friends." Friend Bear says.
"No thanks." Alexis says.
"Everyone needs friends Alexis even you, Jason and Kim." Friend Bear says.
"We're not your friends." Kim says.
"How do you know our names?" Jason asks.
"Yeah." Alexis says.
"We know a lot of things about you. Kim reads a lot of books and wants to be a nurse when she grows up. Alexis you're a wolf shifter who became Kim and Jason's older adoptive sister who wants to be wild life protector. And Jason you wanna be a jet pilot." Friend Bear says.
"Yeah. How did you know that?" Jason asks.
"Friends are supposed to know about each other's hopes and dreams. Secret Bear says not to worry. No one can keep a secret like Secret Bear." Friend Bear says as Secret Bear whispers in her ear.
"Well I'll tell you what we know about people you care for. They always let you down." Jason says.
"So we'd rather not have any friends. Don't trouble yourselves." Kim says.
"In other words thanks but no thanks." Alexis says as the group walks away from the bears.
*Timeskip*
"We promise it will work out if you give it a chance." Friend Bear says as she and Secret Bear are walking with the group.
"No." Alexis says as the group keeps walking before the group disappears and reappears in front of a bunch of bears.
"Oh my stars! It brought visitors. What are they doing here?" A bear says.
"We didn't bring them. They just came along. Someone brought us here." Friend Bear says.
"I knew it! Baby Bear mischief." A bear says as some young bears give guilty looks.
"What are we gonna do with those children?" Another bear asks before the bears talk among themselves about what to do.
"Hey! Could we say something? Where are we?" Jason asks.
"Yeah. Where did you bring us to?" Alexis asks.
"We're terribly sorry. Bears?" A yellow bear asks as the bears group together.
"We're the Care Bears." The bears say happily.
"More friends?" Alexis, Jason and Kim ask in union.
"Great. Just our luck." Alexis says as Jason and Kim nod.
"Welcome to Care-a-lot!" The yellow bear says.
"Come on. We'll give you a tour." Friend Bear says as she gestures for the group to follow.
"Okay but we're not gonna like it." Jason says as the group follows Secret Bear and Friend Bear.
*Timeskip*
"Jason! Kim! Wait'll you hear this." Wish Bear says as she runs over only to slip and get stuck in some clouds as Alexis, Kim and Jason laugh.
"Look Secret Bear. Wish Bear's got her head stuck in the clouds again." Friend Bear says before she and Secret Bear pull Wish Bear out of the clouds.
"Look!" Grumpy Bear shouts as he points to the sky.
"Tenderheart's Rainbow Roller is out of control!" Friend Bear shouts as everyone sees a bear headed for them in a rainbow roller.
"Quick! Run for cover! It's coming! Brace yourselves!" Tenderheart shouts as he floats down on a heart balloon.
"What's coming?" Share Bear asks before the ground shakes violently sending some flying and destroying much of Care-A-Lot.
"Tenderheart! The Caring Meter dropped two whole points! There must be a huge shortage in people who stopped caring on Earth." Funshine says as he sees climbs out of some clouds and sees the Caring Meter.
"What could have caused that?" Kim asks.
"The same thing that caused the cloud quake! A boy named Nicholas is being taken over by an evil spirit." Tenderheart says.
"And what about when the Caring Meter drops to zero? Then what?" Kim asks.
"Yes. What will that mean?" Alexis asks.
"No one in the world will care. Which means the end of Care-A-Lot." Love-A-Lot Bear says.
"I think that's exactly what the spirit has in mind!" Tenderheart says.
"Oh my gosh. I forgot. I sighted parents for you at the orphanage. They want to adopt you both. As for you Alexis I am still looking. I want to find the right parents for you that will accept every part of you." Bedtime Bear says.
"Come on Grumpy. Let's warm up the Rainbow Rescue Beam. Kim and Jason have to get back in a hurry." Tenderheart says as everyone goes inside to the rescue beam except for Alexis, Jason and Kim.
"Hear that Jason? Parents!" Kim asks as she looks at Jason.
"Yeah. I thought we'd never have parents." Jason says.
"I'm really happy for you both. I guess thanks to these bears we'll all get families like we wanted." Alexis says.
"Yeah. But Alexis, Kim..." Jason says.
"We know Jason." Alexis says.
"Our friends. They're in trouble." Kim says.
"Kim, Jason we're ready. All set?" Grumpy Bear asks as Kim, Alexis and Jason come over.
"No! We're not going back to the orphanage. We're going to help you." Kim says.
"But you have parents waiting." Friend Bear says.
"We made up our minds." Jason says.
"And where they stay I stay." Alexis says as she looks at Jason and Kim.
"You showed us how to share our feelings and that's just what we're going to do." Kim says as everyone cheers.
"All right our first job is to go to Earth and find Nicholas. Friend Bear, Secret Bear you head down with Kim, Alexis and Jason. We'll follow. Hold on to this for me Jason. Don't lose it. It's very important." Tenderheart says as he hands Jason a key.
"Don't worry Tenderheart. I wouldn't lose it for nothing." Jason says before the group goes up to the beam and gets transported.
