"It's true, you really could use a diet."

Y/n glanced over at the clock beside her bed. It read forty-five minutes past eight. Morning already? She thought annoyed.

Y/n didn't manage to get any sleep last night, as her mind kept floating back to the conversation she had with Harry last night.

"Ok," Harry broke the silence. "I'm guessing Umbridge did the same thing to you and Malfoy as she did to me." He gently unwrapped a thin bandage that was around his hand, revealing swollen scars across him, each reading, 'I must not tell lies.'

Copying his movement, Y/n revealed her hand that had once been covered by the sleeve of her cloak. Unlike Harry, she's read, 'I shall pay attention in class'.

She decided to put the thought on hold and have a calm day without any trouble. Her head throbbed as she climbed out of her bed and over to her vanity.

Y/n knew she didn't have much time, but she decided to not waste the time she did have, which was only fifteen minutes.

She ran a brush through her hair and hurriedly applied some mascara and concealer so that she didn't look too tired.

Her legs carried her down the stairs and out of the Slytherin common room. She had five minutes to be in potions, so it was abundantly clear that she didn't have time for breakfast.

Y/n was in potions with two minutes to spare, luckily, Snape wasn't here to give her another lecture about how great it is to be early.

I groaned as I sat in my seat, I was so happy that Malfoy wasn't here to see me in this state.

I didn't get any sleep, I have over a thousand thoughts racing through my mind, and I am not in the mood to hear Malfoy's meaningless banter.

Before I could secretly celebrate Malfoy not being here, he made his way to the seat next to me and Snape quickly strutted to the front of the class.

"Jeez, you look like shit," he muttered. "Are you sick or something?"

"I just didn't get any sleep, why do you care?" I didn't bother looking up at him, I could just sense that he was trying not to laugh.

This is gonna be the longest hour of my life. I thought to myself as I slammed my head on the desk.
