Status Report: six contacts present, various bearings.
10 days into the Pit, 1 day left of air cover.
I have fallen sick again.
Despite my reasonable efforts, I have come down with a runny nose, occasional stuffy nose, lingering nasal drippage, and the occasional cough/sneeze. I haven't been diagnosed yet, but I am willing to put money on sinusitis again. I would not be surprised.
This week is one of those weeks where literally every one of my classes has assigned work to be due throughout the week, mostly on Monday. So yay, crunch time. And with my poor time management, it's all big stuff! Yay!
Yeah, I know, go ahead. I've already given myself the lecture, and am doing everything I can. Last week was something else, and I'm just trying to catch up now.
The HQ team had to go do a training down south, so they decided to also take a trip up north to visit me and render supplies and support. At least one good thing! They'll be leaving midday Monday, so I'll have a couple more nights of restful sleep before I head back into combat. But having people I trust around, after fighting on my own for a good while... I'll just say it is always welcome.
As for story progress, I haven't gotten any progress done. I've been using all my free time trying to study, do work, and take care of my needs, leaving pretty much no time for recreation. Not to mention, getting sick has drained pretty much all my strength to do any of the bigger and more taxing activities. I'm doing what damage I can though, up here.
No word on NovelWW yet. The last briefing said their IP is bouncing off of servers from Toronto, Melbourne, Singapore, and Fremont. But we do have some static IPs in a few nearby CloudFlare Inc. datacenters. SFPD have already told me that they'll be looking into it, as well as 10th Fleet for back chanelling, but it looks like they're already putting up a fight. But in the words of Petty Officer Nick: "We're always up for a good challenge."
