Remus and James had everything planned and ready.

The day prior, Remus had asked Sirius if he wanted him to accompany him to the wedding. At first Sirus was a bit reluctant to bring his half-blood boyfriend to a pureblood event, but after much convincing, eventually agreed.

James was ready to do anything for Regulus.

July 31, 1979

On days like these, Regulus wonders what he did to deserve his hand of life.

When Regulus was a small child, 4 or 5, he remembers Sirius asking him what he wanted to do in his life.

Regulus's answer had always been the same, An author.

Regus thought by the time he would graduate Hogwarts, he would be writing poems and books, maybe already a published author,

Never in a million years did he think he would be in an arranged marriage, ready to vow his life and freedom away to a woman he didnt love. A woman.

Regulus didn't always know he was gay.

Regulus thought he was incapable of loving someone romantically, but that was until 4th year.

In the summer between 3rd and 4th year, Sirius had finally left.

Regulus knew it was bound to happen eventually, but what he did not expect was for a friendship to form with James Potter after.

At first, James would try to convince Regulus to run away also, but after trying to convince him to leave, and eventually realizing that it wouldn't work, he had settled on trying to be friends with Regulus.

At first, Regulus hated James's, hated him for taking away his brother, hated him for being so nice,

Bu after endless nights spent at the astronomy tower, regulus realized that someone really did care for him,

He also realized that he was in love with James potter.

The first person ever told about his little crush on James were Barty and Evan. They never did fail to make fun of him for it, but genuinely they were happy for him.

And even though Barty and Evan were the first people Regulus had told, Pandora was the first person to find out about Him and James.

I mean, it's quite hard to keep a secret from Pandora.

But it was in 4th year that Regulus knew if he had to marry anyone, he would want it to be James.

Because James was the sun in his life.

August 1st, 7am.

Regulus was woken up at 7am on August 1.

Today was the day he would be married to a person he didnt love.

He would be trapped

James Potter was ready to do anything.

As James arrives into the venue, he can tell a pureblood planned it.

Very elegant and formal.

Remus looks to James and nods before following Sirius to sit at their respective seats, ignoring the glares on their way.
