Stanley had been working at his company for ages but hadn't socialized much. As a young man with horrible social anxiety, talking was difficult. Most peers pushed him away, and others just never understood him. One day, Stanley walked out of his office to copy some papers that he needed to file, and while turning the corner, on his way to the copying machine, he bumped into a man, and his papers went flying all over the floor. Stanley kneeled onto the ground and rushed frantically to pick the papers up while the man was profusely apologizing and helping the best he could. The man was a bit older than Stanley, and bit taller too.

"I'm so sorry- , That was my fault- , are you okay? Oh I'm such a klutz, " said the man.

Stanley signed back because he was mute [Oh no, that was my fault, I'm sorry, I just dropped a few papers is all- ,]

Given that signing was a required skill, the man tried to start a small conversation. Stanley didn't sign much at first, but slowly he warmed up to him and communicated a bit more. They had mainly the same interests, and they had a wonderful time talking. Stanley hadn't realized it at the time but he had blushed a fair bit. The man asked his name.

Stanley signed back [My name is Stanley, but you can call me Stan if it's not a bother- .]

"I'm Kevan but you can call me Nar,"

An unlikely friendship started between the two. They exchanged numbers to talk more after work.

As Stanley was walking to his apartment 5 blocks away, He couldn't stop thinking of Kevan. He had a crush but just played it cool not wanting to embarrass himself in front of his new friend.
