When Stanley made it home to his apartment, he changed into a loose fitting T-shirt and some basketball shorts before laying in bed and pulling out his phone and opening messages with one new notification.

Stanley giggled to himself at how he responded- feeling more open to communicate for the first time in a while-

In a couple of minutes Kevan was at the door of Stanley's apartment and he knocked lightly as to not startle him. Stanley opened the door and smiled happy to see Kevan.
[Hey, Nice to see you] Stanley signed.
"Yeah of course! Just send a message my way if you ever want me over-"
Stanley lets Kevan inside and sits on the couch with him,
[I never asked your pronouns-] Stanley signs.
"He/They- you?"
[Oh wow I'm He/They too]
"Hah- That's funny- We're both so much alike-"
[Yeah. Do you want to watch a movie or TV Show?]
"Sure that would be nice-"
Stanley grabs the TV remote and pulls up a streaming service for them to watch a show on. They end up settling on watching Heartstopper because it's Stanley's favorite and Kevan had never seen it before. A little bit into the first episode, Stanley unconsciously leans his head on Kevan's shoulder and keeps watching, not fully aware that he did that- Kevan blushes a bit and smiles, before putting his hand on top of Stanley's. Stanley finally notices and blushes before signing,
[Sorry Nar-] Stanley signs
"No Stan it's okay- I liked it- . I don't want you to feel bad about it-"
Kevan grips Stanley's hands in his and smiles softly
"I loved it." Kevan says
Stanley blushes extremely red flustered by Kevan, but also by how happy he is that someone is acknowledging him as a person with feelings.
[I love you] Stanley signs hesitantly-
He only really had a day to get to know him but Stanley knew he felt like something was different about Kevan- He made Stanley feel comforted and backed up, while also being there to listen to him and let him vent problems- He doesn't even mind the sign-language. Stanley didn't feel like something was different, he knew something was different about him. Different- Just like him- That's what he wanted.
