It swims and flaps
and twitches and laps
but to no escape
for all the little fishes
have been caught
in a nightmare awake.
The other bigger creatures,
who aren't the wanted prey
get stuck in a chase
and fall into place,
along with all the fishes.
They're destined to
all get chopped up
and ruled
discarded if not good.
And the poor creatures
they didn't want
will just die in the end
along with all the other fishes.
As it's always been.
