Third-Person Perspective

After the adults had left, Draco was sure he'd heard mention of alcohol, he stood up silently, wiped his face, and eased the door back open. He couldn't believe that Potter had been taken captive. He hated Potter, but he hated the Dark Lord more. He hated that the Dark Lord had taken his father from him, and that the man would dare to hurt the people he loved.

Feeling the prickles preceding sweat start gathering on his back and forehead, he quickly walked across the room and, using his wand opened the cage where his school nemesis was stuck, wearing some kid's pajamas and a goddamn collar and leash. The boy was painfully thin, so dreadfully malnourished Draco felt anger seething in his stomach.

How long had the Dark Lord had Potter?

"Come on Potter. Get out," Draco whispered, beckoning with his hand at the boy.

Harry just stared dully at him, a bit confused by what was happening. When he saw that the cage was opened, his gaze focused, assessing the other teen's face. There was an anger in his eyes, low and simmering, and Harry knew that someone was going to be in pain if that anger was expressed.

He did not, however, think that Draco would give him his death. He didn't think the boy had to guts to kill him, even if he were willing to torture him. Then again, perhaps he meant to rescue Harry.

As this last thought flitted through his mind, his pupils shrank in the sudden wave of emotion that rolled through him. He wanted to die, he wanted his life to be over. He refused to be saved. Even so, this was Draco bloody Malfoy. At least Harry could be decently sure he wouldn't be turned over to Dumbledore were he freed- or would he be?

Would Draco do something that despicable to get on the old man's good side?

Draco was still staring at Harry, not a clue what was going through Harry's mind, no understanding of the depth of trauma he'd gone through.

"Come on!" he whispered, putting his arms into the cage with the clear intention of picking him up.

No. He wouldn't be taken.

Harry's pupils blew, black overtaking green in terror, and the fear was so powerful that once again his magic, which was still badly depleted, took over.
