Final goodbye

The next morning i got up. The baby was already being a pain in the butt. I looked at the clock. It was 8am. I walked out of the room. I heard dad and grandpa and Lisa in the kitchen. I walked in. "Lexi i am so sorry," said Lisa. She walked over to me. She gave me a hug. "Thanks," i said. I went and sat down. "Here have some of this," said Tim. "What is it," i asked.. "Funny," he said. I smiled. After breakfast i went and got dress. Dad was taking me to the hospital for one last goodbye. I was sitting in the passenger seat of the truck. Dad got in. "Ready," asked Tim. "Not really," i said. He grabbed my hand. "Im gonna be right here," said Tim. We headed to the hospital. It was a quiet ride in. The baby finally fell asleep. I was relaxed. I was looking out the window. We just got into Hudson. I was nervous. Dad grabbed my hand. "Breath," said Tim. He parked the car. I felt like the whole world was gonna end. "Ok let's go," i said. We both got out of the car. We headed into hudson hospital. It didnt seem real. It felt like a nightmare. The hallway was still filled with firefighters. I felt like i was not alone. Even my family was here. They waited in the waiting room. "Dad," i asked. We stopped walking. "Yeah honey," he said. I took a deep breath. "Stay with me," i said. "Im not going anywhere," said Tim. We headed to sams room. The doctor was waiting by the door. "Mrs. Smith we are sorry," said kim. "Thank you," i said. I sighed the paper work. Then went in. "This can take hours or minutes," she said. I handed her the clipboard back. She walked out. Dad and i sat down. Dad pulled a chair over to me. The nurse came in and shut the machines off. Dad grabbed my hand. This was the hardest part. A hour goes by and he was still hanging on. "Dad," i said. "Yeah honey," said Tim "can you get me some water," i asked. "Yeah," said Tim. He got up and he went and got me some water. He came back. He handed me the cup. I took a sip of water. "Thanks dad," i said. He sat back down. Sam died 30 minutes later. I stood up. Dada wrapped his arms around me. "Im sorry kiddo," said Tim. He kisses me on the head. Dad and i walked out of the room. We got to the waiting room. Jack and Amy an Lisa and Georgie and Lou were here. Ty took lindy home. And peter took katie home. "Lets get you home," said Jack.

They took me back to heartland. I was laying in the guest room. I was asleep. Dad cracked opened the door. "She still asleep," asked Lisa. "Yeah," said Tim. He shut the door. He walked back out. "She needs to rest," said Jack. "We need to keep the stress down for her," said amy. "What she needs she will get," said tim.
