The escape

You were starting to regain consciousness but didn't open your eyes because you felt comfortable

You snuggled into the futon before snapping your eyes open remembering the previous events

You were internally panicking before you felt your futon move

You looked up to see your "Futon" was a shirtless kamado Tanjiro

Before you can jump out of the bed you feel him pull you closer not allowing you to move

You needed to get away from the monster before you so you dug your nails into his back in an attempt to lose his grip

Tanjiro: "Two can play this game Y/n." He spoke directly into your ear

Originally you would have been flustered but you felt Tanjiro sink his teeth into your neck

You remembered the dream you had with him, you recalled what happened when you gave in

You wanted to cry, scream, kick, run away, hide, but none of these would work now

Tanjiro removed his mouth from your neck thankfully only leaving a bite mark

You felt your eyes water, too scared to say anything you thought quietly; what was he going to do now that he had you in his grasp?

He kissed your forehead before getting out of bed giving you a good view of his bare upper body.

You buried your head in a nearby pillow not wanting to see his smug look

Tanjiro: "This is where WE will be staying Y/n" he said emphasizing the we in his sentence

Tanjiro: "Don't forget if you try to escape I will not hesitate to break your legs so you cannot run from me again." he said smoothly before exiting the room.

Now that he was gone you could process everything going on and try to formulate a plan to escape

[Fast forward]

You spent the past few weeks planning and figuring out how to leave this place

You memorized the Layout of the structure you were in, how things worked, the guard schedules, and even how demons came and left! Now you just have to wait for an opportunity...

You grew accustomed to waking up in Tanjiro's arms and how he would choose to eat your flesh rather than a normal humans

But you don't have to worry about that anymore seeing as you won't stay here any longer

Unbeknownst to you someone knew very well what your plans to escape him were, to him you were two halves of a hole, and he would make sure you would learn to rely on him as he does to you

You put your information together and made a plan

You had guards outside of your room but you had a plan for that once the guards swap shifts to hunt and eat people you would ask the new guard for some food to which he would have to comply with under Tanjiro's orders

You would then follow the guard off shift who would lead you to a way out, leaving you a 30-minute timer before Tanjiro was alerted.

The plan was worked on and revised to perfection! Nothing could stop you when you were this close to freedom

You missed your loved ones only fueling your motivation to free yourself from this prison

And now it's time to set the plan in motion

You put your ear to the door listening for the sound of the guards changing shifts

???: "Finally my shift has ended I'm starving!" you heard a male voice speak

???: "whatever just get going I'm not too happy about taking shifts." you heard a female speak

You waited for the footsteps of the male to fade until almost gone before knocking on the door

Y/n: "Excuse me is someone there? Can I have some food please?"

You listened until you heard the footsteps fully fade before dashing down the hall to catch up with the male guard

Once you heard the male demon up ahead you slowed down and remained as quiet as possible following the man making sure not to be seen

You peeked over the corner when you heard him stop and you saw him pull open a shoji door to reveal a portal that looked like a forest

You watched the demon step through before following his steps and leaving the building

Once you turned back the building was gone giving you some relief as you took off running into the woods hoping to find a village

You ran as fast as you could for as long as you could without stopping the sense of freedom giving you a new source of power only when you saw a village did you stop

You couldn't help but cry in relief having survived what you did

???: "Miss are you ok?" you looked up and saw the gentle face of an old man filled with worry

Y/n: "Sir I was kidnapped I don't know where I am please help me!" you cried with a begging look on your face

The old man silently led you to his house before handing you a change of clothing and directing you to a guest bedroom

By the time you finished changing the old man was holding a tray of food and told you to get some rest.

It didn't take long for you to fall asleep once the fatigue finally hit you unaware of the red eyes watching your sleeping form

Nezuko and zenitsu postponed their wedding because they wanted you to be there

The male demon didn't smell you due to his intense hunger

The female demon was not very excited to take a weeklong shift and not eat the entire time
