Stuck

The Fall

Kayla and Will walk down the hall, talking and laughing as they make their way to their next class, which both of them have together. They make it to their class feeling as if the time it took to get there was little to none. The says for that class were spread out for that class so that the students couldn't talk or whisper to each other without being loud enough for the teacher to hear the kids talking to one another. Kayla and Will sit down at their seats and start doing what they were supposed to be doing. When the class actually started, there was a substitute that was really rude to the students and not helping anyone that needed help.

 "Ma'am I don't know what we're doing you haven't explained it at all,"  Kayla says knowing that the teacher was most likely going to ignore her and she was going to have to ask for help tomorrow morning.

 "I explained what you were going to be doing. Is that not enough? Are you stupid?" The substitute said with a harsh tone in her voice. 

The words that the sub said made Kayla's eyes water and Kayla was about to just walk out of the class and skip the rest of the class but she didn't, knowing that if she did then she would never hear the end of it from her parents, so she just sat there the entire class on the verge of years waiting for the class to just end so that she could go to the office and say that she felt as if she were going to puke. At the end of the class, Will walks up to her.

 "Hey, are you okay I heard what that asshole said. If you want me to I can tell the office that you're sick and that I have to take you home if you want, and maybe you can tell me what's wrong. Don't worry, you can trust me." Will said comforting Kayla knowing by instinct that she was on the verge of tears.

The response that Kayla gave was a small nod. She felt as if she said anything that she was going to break down. Will stands up offering his hand for Kayla to take in a comforting way. They start to walk down to the office when troy spots them and starts to walk up to them.

 "Hey, fag! What the hell are you doing with the princess?" Troy says in a time that signifies that he didn't want Will anywhere near Kayla. Will being able to see this quickly started to make a reasonable explanation on what was going on to not be beaten to a pulp for being around Kayla.

 "Oh, um, Kayla isn't feeling well so I'm going to take her home after I tell the office so do you need anything troy?" Will said with a harsh tone, knowing that Kayla wasn't going to want to talk with Troy, with how troy was speaking it seemed like he ended up annoying her a lot in Wills's eyes. 

 "Whatever you say fag." Troy says with the harshest voice he could muster trying to scare Will and make Kayla impressed. He then walks away.

 Kayla and Will continue their walk to the office in silence, well silence other than will asking if Kayla was okay every once in a while. In about 2 minutes they make it to the office, walking in and signing out saying that Kayla was sick and Will was taking her home. They walk out of the office and grab their stuff then, Will guides Kayla out of the school, making sure that she doesn't trip.

 "Hey, Kayla do you want to talk to me? I know that you totally aren't happy right now and if you want to talk to me you can." Will says trying to make sure that Kayla knows that she can talk to him even though they just met.

 " yeah, I think I'm okay I just feel like that teacher was being a jackass. I didn't even do anything wrong and she still yelled at me like I was in the wrong. " Kayla says with tears starting to roll down her face. Her lip wavers, and will starts to look at her with a questioning look peering into her eyes to make sure that she was okay. "Oh, by the way, I think I can handle the rest of the walk plus you left you're bike at school"

Will looked at Kayla with realization and nods his head to what Kayla said. "Oh, shit that's right I have to go then. bye Kayla, if you wanna talk later feel free to call me!" Will says with a tone that had a hint of humor in it he then waves and starts ok leave, and Kayla waves back to Will and continues her walk.

While Kayla's on her walk she heard a rustling in a bush and went to go check it out on her way cutting her finger on a thorn branch. She walks up the bush ahead and feels a push on her back. She starts to fall and passes out. 

When Kayla Woke up she started to lift her head up as quietly and gently as she could, knowing that she had no clue where she was. By now the cut that she got from the thorn bush was dried and kind of healed. She looks around seeing that she was in this random place and that she doesn't entirely know where she is.

Kayla gets up as quietly as she could and looks around wondering where she is. She looks up to the sky will and sees that the sky is very with red lightning everywhere. She looks down and sees that there are vines everywhere. Not knowing what the vines are she tried her absolute hardest to make sure she doesn't touch them. She starts to head to where the road is. 

Kayla can see that wherever she is it's just like where she lives. She starts to head to where her house would have been. When she gets to where her house is supposed to be she sees that her house is there. She walks into her house, seeing that there are no vines, she starts to look through her house to see that everything is where needed, that and the fact that she still had her food at her house.

With that Kayla makes her way up to her room and starts to cuddle up to her soft blankets. After what was probably the worst day of her life at least she can sleep comfortably, knowing that at least it was just like her real home. 

Back at Hawkins, Will and Dustin are talking about Kayla and about how nice she is. While this conversation is going on they start to ask themselves why they've never talked to her before. while this conversation is going on mike is pacing the room mumbling about how much Kayla seemed like a snobby looser that was willing to talk to troy just for the fun of it, not wanting to see her again he stopped thinking for a moment and realizing that the reason he might be feeling this was was that he thought that she was to good for him and that she was going to just hang out with troy instead of being their friend. not wanting this to be the case he dropped the entire subject in his head.
