(Kk SO! Sauron. HAH! Ain't no one safe anymore I guess. BUUUTT in this one it's got abuse stuff. Like... Sauron is physical with his wife the bless soul.)
Sauron stared at the immortal being in front of him before slamming her back, shoving her away before walking away. She groaned quietly, sighing softly as she watched her husband leave. Being with him, let alone loving him, was hard. He was rough around the edges, literally. But she poured her heart into him, her love ever growing for the unfortunate soul. Their love was forced in the beginning. But as the time had grew from before they adored each other. Merci believed his love was still there, still active and present. Just... hidden within the dark walls he's built around himself.
"You shouldn't take his beatings, Merci." The Witch King hummed lowly as he began to tend her wounds after crouching next to her.
"I can't, I can't leave him. I know he's there somewhere. My Mairon is there somewhere. He's just scared. He's scared, doesn't understand."
"My lady, your scars are ever growing and he cannot see he is hurting you." He stated.
"I don't wish for him to see." She whispered as she stood up with the help of the Witch King. "He is dealing with enough. He does not need to worry about me."
"My lady-"
"Witch King." Sauron interrupted the ongoing conversation. Merci glanced up at him, Sauron's unseeing gaze was fixated on her. "Leave us." He hissed quietly. The Witch King made a sound before leaving, Merci looking up at him more.
"Anything you need?"
"Making sure you are still breathing. I do not feel like dying anytime soon." He scowled lowly. Merci made a quiet sound, the words struck a deeper wound than any beating he can give her can bring.
"At least you actually remember something." She mumbled before walking away. He took note in her off dementor. Did Witch King try something again? He growled under his breath before disappearing and hunting down Witch King.
"What did you do to her?" Sauron snarled as he threw the Witch King into a nearby wall.
"Nothing. I simply told her she doesn't deserve your ruthless beatings." He hissed. Sauron growled, slamming the Witch down before pinning him.
"She's my wife."
"Yet you act like she's an enemy." He snapped. Sauron hissed loudly before slamming him down once more and getting up.~A Few Hours Later~
Sauron sat next to Merci as she slept, gently stroking her hair back and watching as she took slow breaths. It reminded him of their past before. A happy life, where no jealousy dare risked their love. An unbreaking bond, undying love. A promise once made, and forever remains intake. Once one was to die, the other will follow soon after. He sighed softly, his mind wandering.
~Flashback~
Merci stared at the male, humming softly to herself as she approached him.
"Hello, my name is-"
"Lady Merci." The man said softly, bowing to her and kissing her hand gently. Merci giggled softly, her parents close behind her. "My name is Halbrand."
"Such a lovely name." She giggled while he stood.
"As is yours. Fit for a beautiful empress." He smiled back.~Present~
Oh how he wished he could go back to the time where they were young and free. He remembered when he was confronted with the fact they would be wedded. He never expected it. But he's glad they were. They spent every day together. Sometimes, as she sat laying in the grass, he would sit in the tree ranting about his day, along with a few of his adventures. She always listened, and gave advice to him when he needed it. So to be approached by guards, and pulled to the palace to be wedded to her? Was a dream come true. None of his friends would believe it until he was ready to bring her around. Oh they truly fawned over him then. He adored her.
As he still does now. His love is deep, runs deeper than any blade could pierce. His jealously of Witch King blocked him from seeing the truth of him hurting her.
She shifted, yawning slightly as she peeked up at him. Her ember orbs stared at him in admiration, giggling softly as she leaned into his cool hand.
"For someone who seems so hot, you're so cool." She mumbled quietly. Sauron chuckled, looking down at her and gently stroking her cheek. The fear she would feel was gone, once in the bedroom? The fighting was gone, the bickering and physical hits were left outside. Here they felt peaceful, and the love was just as strong.
"Only for you do I feel cool." He chuckled. She giggled softly, scooting closer and leaning on a piece of his armor where no spikes laid. He was gentle to move so he wouldn't nick her, holding her closer while she smiled at him.
"I love you." Merci whispered quietly. Fearing it will chase him away, or worse... he'd beat her.
"I love you too." He hummed back. She giggled happily, snuggling closer before falling back into a peaceful sleep.~Flashback~
"Halbrand!" Merci yelped, falling off the side of the boat with a gasp. Halbrand yelled out slightly, diving in after her and pulling her back to the boat.
"Merci-"
"I-I-I'm alright. Just scared me." Merci stuttered as she shook slightly. Mairon tightly wrapped her in a dry coat, kissing her cheek softly while looking at her with worry.
"Come, lets get back to land. Get you dry." He said softly while standing back up and rowing the boat back.~Hours later~
Merci yelped, falling off the side of the tower. Sauron wasn't around. Oh god. She was going to die. He'd hate her in the after life-
"No!" Sauron yelled out, jumping after her and quickly catching her, using himself to protect her from the ground as he groaned upon impact. Merci gasped slightly, crying slightly as he picked her up.
"It's alright, I have you. You're safe." He said softly while hugging her tight. She continued to sob into his armor, her panic rising quickly.
"Breathe, Merci. Breathe." Sauron hummed softly as he sat her down and crouched in front of her, wiping her tears.
"I-I'm sorry. I didn't mean to fall I don't even know how I did." She gasped softly.
"The better thing is, you're still alive." He whispered. She leaned against him, both foreheads resting against each other as she took a deep breath.
"I am not prepared to die." She sighed while walking back inside the tower. He watched her leave before following after her.
"What is with your mood?"
"Sauron, please." She whispered while making her way up the steps. He scowled, a haze crossing over before pulling her back and forcing her down the stairs.
"I asked you a damn question woman." He growled. She groaned while rubbing her arm, the wound seemingly disappearing within the blink of an eye.
"Sauron, enough."
"Answer my question."
"I would like to be left alone, Sauron." Merci hummed quietly as she stood back up, yelping out as he shoved her back down. Sauron glared down at her before disappearing. Merci rubbed her eyes, sighing softly as she rested her head on her knees. Giving her body time to heal before standing back up and walking up the stairs of the tower and to their room. With a deep sigh, she laid down and fell back asleep to a dream where Sauron was his old self, a happy marriage promised before them. Where did it go? She couldn't figure it out, but Sauron knew. And he sensed someone among the team, was willing to take her from him. His jealous rage was nerve racking and scary, but never enough to scare her away.
